• The Japanese surrendered when America
bombed Japanese with an atomic bomb 2
times
• The first one is bombed at the 6th of
August 1945. It is called the Little Boy and
was bombed at Hiroshima
• The second one is bombed at the 9th of
August 1945. It was known as the Fat Man
and was bombed at Nagasaki
3. Celebration of Japanese surrender
• The British troops returned to Singapore on
5th September 1945.
• The people gathered at the Padang and
celebrated the surrender of the Japanese on
12th September 1945
• The General Seishiro Itagaki of Japan and
the Superme Allied Commander for
Southeast Asia, Lord Louis Mountbatten
signed the surrender agreement in the
Municipal building,known as City Hall today
