Purpose:

Administrative
Ensures proper sterilization and regular checking of surgical instruments
Checks for emergency drugs on regular basis (w hether in stock or not)
Fills out relevant formats on time
Maintains registers of services rendered and referred cases
Signs medicines and contraceptive stock registers on each service day.
Maintains birth and death register
Responsible for handling all medical emergencies and accompany client/patient to the nearest hospital until the client/patient is out of
danger
The incident/emergency report (w ritten) w ill be submitted to Senior Manager Safe Motherhood Services /Project Manager

Provides services in other MSS clinics or camps w ithin the city, if required
Operational
Performs pre & post procedures screening of the client.
Provides normal and emergency obstetrical care (antenatal, natal and postnatal services)
Performs c-section and hysterectomy w henever there is a strong indication.
Provides early neonatal care and treating early childhood diseases.
Diagnoses and treating gynaecological and medical ailments.
Diagnoses and referring infertility and sub-infertility.
Performs pregnancy test.
Checks the supply of blood (available at camps/ clinics) during an emergency
Helps midw ifes in management of normal and complicated obstetrical cases
Signs medicines and contraceptive stock registers on each service day.
Proficient in the installation of a TL
Assist the MDT / QA team in complicated clinical and surgical cases of contraceptive clients
Managerial
Ensuring satisfaction of the follow up clients.
Coordinate and cooperate w ith all team members for smooth functioning of the clinic.
Trains the field and clinic staff on new born care and standard FPRH procedures

Qualifications:
BSc Nursing (Female),
Preferable MBBS Doctor or an equivalent combination of relevant education.
Experience:
2-3 years w ork experience post qualification in Health Services
Surgery experience preferable. Demonstrable excellent surgical skills w ith experience of independent handling of cases
