Hello,
I am interested in securing a position in the ICU RN Internship PM Shift. I graduated with
honors August 2016 from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX with a Bachelor of Science in
Nursing. I passed the NCLEX in Texas September 21st, 2016 and will be relocating to Washington, D.C.
by October 1, 2016. Once I receive my Texas RN license I will immediately begin the process of
obtaining an RN license for DC.
I understand that this is a competitive position that offers many challenging experiences. I am
confident my education, skills, and work experience have equipped me with the assets needed to be
successful in this program. I can efficiently manage time, prioritize responsibilities, and communicate
effectively in a variety of professional settings. I consider myself to be a strong patient advocate, and I
enjoy working with members of the interdisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care for my
patients. I learn quickly when provided with hands-on experience, and I believe that I would be a
valuable contribution to your team.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you about this
opportunity.
Respectfully,
Ryan Newsom
