of is lame

ADDING A CLIMAX AND CONFLICT
Think of a story as a professional boxing match- a struggle between
two characters/elements in your story.
ADDING A CLIMAX AND CONFLICT
There are two characters fighting throughout your story both want to
win, the stakes are high, and the conflict is close and personal
ADDING A CLIMAX AND CONFLICT
The fight starts with the two opponents just measuring each other
up, but soon it becomes increasingly brutal, and it’s clear that one of
the boxers will finish the fight knocking the other out.
ADDING A CLIMAX AND CONFLICT
But then, moments before the final gong, the boxer whom we
expected to lose delivers a punch that kills the boxer who we
believed would win.
Not just knocks him out…. Kills him.
That’s the climax.
WHAT ARE THE TWO
CHARACTERS/ELEMENTS IN
CONFLICT/STRUGGLE IN YOUR
STORY?Write it down quickly and don’t share yet.
WHAT DO THEY WANT TO WIN/ WHAT ARE
THE HIGH STAKES IN YOUR STORY?
HOW IS THE CONFLICT CLOSE AND
PERSONAL?
HOW ARE THE OPPONENTS IN YOUR
STORY MEASURING EACH OTHER UP?
WHICH ONE DO WE BELIEVE TO WIN AT
FIRST (BUT DOESN’T)?
HOW DOES THE UNEXPECTED HAPPEN?
HOW DOES THE LOSER FINALLY WIN?
WHAT DO THEY DO THAT IS UNEXPECTED
AND SURPRISES THE AUDIENCE?
