What happens in our short film

1. “STAIRWAY TO HELL”

[ENTER PROTAGONIST]
[DEPRESSING MUSIC STARTS PLAYING]
1.1 WIDE SHOT The protagonist is first shown walking up the
street, struggling with bags.
1.2 ESTABLISHING SHOT He makes it to his apartment,
1.3 WIDE SHOT puts his bags down,
1.4 CLOSE UP 1he takes off his hat to
1.5 CLOSE UP get his keys and
1.6 EXTREME CLOSE UP opens the security door.
1.7 WIDE SHOT He walks through the concierge with shopping
bags in his hand.
1.8 WIDE SHOT He makes his way towards the lift to see that
there is a sign saying ‘notice – elevator out of service’.
2.1 WIDE SHOT The protagonist sorts out holding his bags
and
2.2 WIDE SHOT starts walking up the stairs.
2.3 CLOSE UP After the first set of stairs, he starts to
pant.
2.4 CLOSE UP He then pauses and looks towards the stairs. .
2.5 ESTABLISHING SHOT A can is on the floor.
2.6 CLOSE UP He picks up the can, inspecting it.
2.7 OVER THE SHOULDER It says ‘you can do it’ on one side,
then he turns it and it reveals his name.
[WOBBLE EFFECT]
[SURVIVOUR – EYE OF THE TIGER STARTS PLAYING]
3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5 3.6 ALL CLOSE UPS (3.6 ZOOM OUT)
The protagonist looks at the camera, his normal clothes
changed into sporting gear.
3.7 MIDSHOT The bags are now on a poll, one bag on each
end. He starts to haul the bags up the stairs, running up
them with a new found strength.
3.8 MEDIUM SHOT The bags are secure on the poll as he
ascends to the top.
3.9 LONG SHOT The protagonist starts to exercise with the
bags, preforming lunges and squats.
3.10 LONG SHOT Soon he throws the poll away and grasps the
bags tightly, running up the stairs till he gets to the
top.
[CUTS/EDITS WOBBLE EFFECT]
4.1 LONG SHOT He slowly continues up the stairs, then the
4.2 LONG SHOT protagonist’s bags of shopping fall apart and

his shopping falls over the stairs.
4.3 LONG SHOT One can rolls down the stairs with ‘THE END’
on it.
[FINISH]
