• Academies want the federal and state government to
improve early childhood education, strengthen the public
school math and science curriculum, and improve teacher
training in crucial subjects
• Calls on government and colleges to provide more financial
and campus support to students who excel at science
• Increase student interest, participation, and achievement in
math and science
– Make it fun, hands on, make the kids feel welcome to talk in class
