“Imagination is more important
than knowledge. Knowledge is
limited. Imagination encircles
the world.” - Albert Einstein
Science has become an integral part of the
modern world without which the whole
structure of the society, risks a collapse.A
science exhibition is an interface of science
and society and it contributes towards creating
awareness about science as well as creating
enthusiasm in students.
INTRODUCTION
OBJECTIVES OF THE SCIENCE EXHIBITION
• To promote interest in science and technology.
• Engages students in learning new facts and inventions with a zeal
of interest.
• Explore the creative talent of the students and force them to
think outside of the box.
• Develops a scientific attitude towards his problems.
• Avail the opportunity of practical learning.
• Helps to develop communication skills, presentation skills,
thinking power, scientific spirit and curiosity in a student.
NATURE AND MEANING
A science exhibition is a wonderful tool that engages students in
learning new facts. It develops in them the curiosity to learn
more which otherwise is not developed by listening to boring
lectures. It provides a platform for the students to use their
scientific knowledge and bring the best invention from their
brains. It also allows students to work together in groups and
learn from each other. They share their ideas and collectively
galvanize those ideas to bring something innovative into
implementation. This further allows the students to develop their
social and moral skills and make them a better team player.
CONSTRUCTION OF SCIENCE EXHIBITION IN SCHOOL
•Define the Purpose
•Form an Organizing
Committee
•Theme Selection
•Allocate Resources
•Plan the Timeline
•Exhibit Creation
•Design the Layout
• Interactive Components
• Promotion and Invitations
• Setup and Decoration
• Opening Ceremony
• Exhibition Operation
• Evaluation and Feedback
• Documentation and
Reflection
EXAMPLES OF FEW SCIENCE EXHIBITION WHICH
HAVE GREAT IMPACT
Body Worlds Exhibition
The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition
Leonardo daVinci: Man Inventor Genius Exhibition
NASA's Journey to Mars Exhibition
The Darwin Exhibition
ROLE OF SCIENCE EXHIBITIONS IN
THETEACHING AND LEARNING SYSTEM
•Promoting active learning.
•Enhancing conceptual understanding.
•Encouraging inquiry-based learning.
•Connecting theory with real-world applications.
•Fostering creativity and innovation.
•Engaging multiple learning styles.
•Strengthening collaboration and communication
skills.
•Inspiring career exploration.
CONCLUSION
Science exhibitions help students to develop scientific
attitude towards problems and challenges that they face in
life. They apply their classroom knowledge in these
exhibitions and develop the taste for learning by doing. It
shifts them from theoretical study to practical
implementation and they avail the opportunity to apply
their ideas in unique ways. Once transformed their idea
