This document summarizes a student experiment to test whether plants have feelings by observing the growth of three identical plants treated differently. One plant was spoken to kindly, one unkindly, and one was left alone. The plant spoken to unkindly grew the most flowers initially but became leaning and flowers died. The plant left alone grew the least. The kindly spoken plant grew the tallest but was not the first to flower. The conclusion is that talking to plants did not significantly impact growth. Future experiments are proposed with different sounds or more plants to test further.
