The student tested different types of flour to see which makes the best pikelets by measuring taste, shape, and lightness. Self-raising flour produced pikelets that were fluffier, thicker, and rose higher than the others. Tasters in a class survey rated the self-raising pikelets as the tastiest and best overall. While all flours can make pikelets, self-raising flour results in pikelets with better texture and fluffiness according to the tests conducted.
