Miss Michele welcomes students to her preschool classroom. She has an Associate's degree in early childhood education and believes that learning should be student-directed. Her daily schedule includes free play, meals, outdoor time, nap time, and focusing on topics that interest the children such as farm animals. She plans to teach the alphabet and numbers in English, French, and Spanish. Parents are encouraged to be encouraging and review materials to help their children learn through repetition.

2. Class Schedule 6:30-8:00 free play, kids arriving. 8:00-8:30 breakfast 8:30-9:00 potties/clean up 9:00-9:45 art 9:45-11:00 outside 11:00-12:00 lunch 12:00-12:30 potties 12:30-2:00 nap 2:00-2:30 potties 2:30-5:30 free play

3. ABOUT ME!! I have my Associates in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with young children since I was a Junior in High School. I live in Moline, Il with my two dogs Rascal and Jasper. I am open to suggestions! If you see something I can improve on let me know. I will greatly appreciate it.

4. MY PHILOSOPHY! I am a strong believer that all children learn at their own pace. If your child is learning faster I will adapt my teaching to where they are at. The same goes for if your child is learning slower, I will adapt and help a little more. I also believe that if my teachings are student directed the children will learn more. This means that if the children are really interested in farm animals, I will make what we do revolve around farm animals for that period. Also I will try having a field trip for this time.

5. THE ALPHABET ! Young children’s brains are like sponges. They can retain almost everything they are taught at a faster pace than an adult. I will teach the children the alphabet in English. Since I took 3yrs of French I think it would be nice to teach the children also in French.

6. NUMBERS! Since I will be teaching the alphabet in both French and English, I will be teaching counting 1-10 in multiple languages. I will be teaching this in English, Spanish, and French.

7. HOW TO GET AHOLD OF ME! Once again I am open to suggestions. Like the children, I am always learning new ways to do things. 8. WHAT I EXPECT OF PARENTS! I expect parents to be encouraging. Reviewing what we go over at school helps the child not fall behind. Repetition is key for learning. Always be positive!!
