This document provides information about a 3D design project focusing on texture, value, and scale. Students will explore the movement and forms of a natural object to understand its texture and value. They must bring a non-perishable natural object to observe and create a sculpture of it at least twice the original size, representing its texture on half the form. The goals are for students to consider abstract and representational forms, analyze their work using relevant vocabulary, and develop ideas for a subsequent plaster carving project based on their experience.

16. Scale
refers to the size of a form when compared with our own human size.
The ratio of individual parts to one another or the whole
~ when ratios seem logically related= harmony/unity
~ parts that are disproportionate create variety or
emphasis

26. Objective
• A lot of sculptures inspired by nature forms. In this project, students
will explore the movement and forms of a natural motif that create
the value of its form and its texture. Students need to bring a natural
object, especially, vegetables, fruits and so on. Please be aware of
that this project is 2 weeks long so you can not choose perishable
materials: green onion, lettuce, tomato, and so one. The observation
on a natural object will be a rich resource for the next project curving
plaster, which students need to think about its concept and research
along with this project.

27. Requirements
• The size must be twice or 3 times of the actual size.
• The half of the form must be representation and traced the texture.
• Present your observation of the form of the object.

28. Goals
• Students will be able to consider abstract and representational forms.
• Students will be able to observe and analyze their work with the
vocabulary.
• Students will be able to concrete their ideas for the next project along
with the experience that they leaned in this project.
