PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
RESEARCH PARTNER MANAGER, SPARKS MEDICAL RESEARCH CHARITY; June 2015-
Present
I joined Sparks as a fundraising volunteer in 2011 and then took on a permanent role securing medical
research funding through the implementation of the Research Partner Programme. My role requires
absolute dedication and a sincere commitment to enabling positive outcomes through nurturing valuable
relationships within the medical community. My main responsibilities and skill set are outlined below:
Prospecting and securing new business
 Initiating and managing relationships with Research Partners ensuring the most effective
approaches are made to secure funds
 Developing a comprehensive database of prospect partners and new business resulting in funding
of 326k and a pipeline of 250k
 Developing and implementing a successful small grants scheme enabling small charities to fund
pilot studies
 Marketing the Research Partner Programme though new media and industry networks
 Attending and presenting at relevant networking events
 Account managing current charity partnerships providing bespoke high level stewardship and
support
 Writing and negotiating written contracts

INVESTMENT LOAN FUND ADMINISTRATOR, BIG ISSUE INVEST; April 2013- February 2015
In this role, I acted as EA for Director of Lending and Director of Sales as well as my title role as
Investment Loan Fund Administrator ; responsibilities included diary management, hotel and travel
bookings.
• Responsible for organising team events, conferences and meetings. Successfully co-ordinated a team
away days which involved venue booking, travel itineraries, arranging conference facilities including
agendas, refreshments, overnight accommodation and meals for a team of 15.
• Performing secretarial functions including drafting and typing letters, memos and other documents.
• Collecting and maintaining loan and client information including investee social impact monitoring and
the production of loan reports.
• Providing general administrative support to the Investment Team.
• First point of contact for telephone loan and external enquiries.
• Database maintenance and keeping soft and hard filing systems up to date.
• Expense checking, processing, invoice reconciliation and processing expenditure records.
• Maintaining the membership and subscription database.
• Managing staff holiday log.
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO CREATIVE DIRECTOR, RWD CREATIVE MEDIA; 2006-2013
• Providing high level executive support to the Creative Director through intensive diary management and
itineraries.
• Independently managing, co-ordinating and liaising with a creative team of 25 including photographers,
stylists, models, runners and camera crew.
• Responsible for the logistical planning of photo and video shoots for advertising campaigns including JD
Sports, PXL Clothing.
• Ensuring the efficient running of the office by providing administrative duties such as maintaining soft
and hard files, general word processing tasks, ordering stationary, petty cash and expense reconciliations.
• Dealing with external calls applying relevant ‘gatekeeping’ where necessary.
• Building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with external agencies, suppliers and
partners
• Ad hoc runner duties.
SINGER / SONGWRITER, POLYDOR RECORDS; 2000-2006
• Gained invaluable experience as part of a girl band releasing two singles achieving top 20 status in the
commercial charts.
• Endured an extensive mainstream television, radio and live PA tours in the UK and abroad.
• Developed as a songwriter both for the group and consequently as a solo artist and for other artists as
part of Funk Factory Productions.
