I enthusiastically recommend Mrs. Sara Quijano as a candidate for your graduate nurse internship program. I
had the pleasure of working with Sara during her tenure in the Professional Nursing program at Rasmussen
College. Specifically, I was afforded the opportunity to work with her during her maternal/child clinical
rotation and again as her mentor during her final quarter in the program.
Sara is an enthusiastic learner with excellent critical thinking skills! She used each clinical/simulation
experience as a learning opportunity. She was quick to volunteer for the leadership role of the nurse during
simulations. She also consistently demonstrated critical thinking through her excellent questions. She
demands excellence of herself and encouraged the same from her peers. Although maternal child nursing is
not her greatest area of interest, she was consistently a top performer in her clinical groups.
Sara is a team player. She consistently looked for opportunities to serve and help others. She was well liked
by her peers and faculty alike. Not only was she a great team member because of her work ethic and clinical
engagement, but she also demonstrated a positive attitude during each interaction.
Sara has expressed that her greatest area of interest is critical care nursing. Her passion has driven her to
seek outside learning experiences prior to entering nursing school and to continue knowledge acquisition
throughout her tenure at Rasmussen College. Sara is an exceptionally bright student and will no doubt go far
in her nursing career! In fact, her ATI NCLEX predictor score placed her in the top 99th
percentile in the
nation!
