To Whom it may concern:
Metro Health is one of the hospitals in Grand Rapids that offers compassionate care, has
cutting-edge technology, and demonstrates award-winning expertise. My dream since I was
young was to be in the health field helping people at no cost. I heard about this position from an
instructor. The position in which I desire to work for is a phlebotomist. I would like to work during
the daytime/evening and I am available to start on Monday, December 5, 2016. Attached is my
resume, 3 letters of recommendation, and a job application.
I have numerous experiences that make me an ideal candidate for this position. I have been a
student at Kent Career Tech Center in its Exploring Health Career program for one year and
also at the Health Sciences Early College Academy for one year. The skills learned at this
amazing school have equipped me to work in a professional, healthcare environment. Some of
these skills include the essential elements of effective teamwork, communication and conflict
resolution. I obtained my First Aid and BLS CPR certification in november 2015. I also plan to
receive a Phlebotomist Certification next year. At school, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.6. While
at Hope Academy Of West Michigan I serve as president of NHS, elected as a leader of the
leadership group, and I am part of the principal council. This experience demonstrates my ability
to effectively work as a worker at Metro Health
I would love to have the opportunity to serve as your next phlebotomist. If you have any
questions, please contact me at (616) 723-4664 (cell). I look forward to meeting with you and
thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Berruquin
