I am writing in regards to any position on night shift at your facility. I am thrilled to contact you because I
feel my skill-set, education, work-ethic, and ability to deliver quality care under environments of
extreme pressure are perfectly suited for your medical team. The night shift position is especially
fascinating to me; however, I am, of course, flexible and open to any department of your hospital that is
in need of a R.N.
I have always flourished in high-pressure environments- even from a very young age. Throughout high
school I juggled being an Assistant Manager at Ace Hardware; the Captain of basketball, cross country
and volleyball teams; while participating in other extra-curricular activities, such as being the Vice
President of Student Counsel and Vice President of the National Honor Society. In addition to my extra-
curricular activities, I also excelled academically through taking college courses and eventually
graduating Salutatorian of my school. I carried my strong work ethic on throughout my college career by
working two part-time jobs while maintaining a high GPA and remaining on the High Honors President’s
List. I have also been a member of the Student Nursing Association throughout college and regularly
mentor younger classmen who are interested in Nursing as a profession. I possess excellent
communication and multi-tasking skills, and am a diligent, conscientious and driven worker. My innate
characteristics of determination and strength of character have served me well in the past, and I believe
will lead me to a successful Nursing profession in the future.
Currently, I am completing the Nursing program at Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. During my
time in the program, I have been given vast experience in a variety of areas and believe I have attained
the skills necessary to adapt and thrive on the M.S. Floor. If given the opportunity, I know my positive
and caring attitude would also be a perfect match with your facility. I am committed to provide quality
healthcare in a safe, comfortable, and compassionate environment is one I am confident I can uphold,
due to my empathetic, determined and nurturing personality.
