The ALS implementers in San Francisco District-II continue to serve underserved and marginalized populations through the ALS and Abot-Alam programs. Around 60% of out-of-school youth and adults avail of learning sessions that not only provide education but also livelihood training. Literacy rates have increased as illiterates become literate. Support from DepEd and local officials has allowed the program to operate learning centers that teach values as well as skills like candle making, rag making, and meat processing.
