My third grader has been refusing to clean his room and the spaces he leaves such
as picking up his dinner plate after dinner, cleaning up his toys from the basement,
etc. This behavior has been going on for almost a month. When he is told to clean
up after himself, he starts screaming and crying, he sometimes even resorts to
kicking and punching me. This behavior is unacceptable, I have tried to scold him
but it isn t working. I have heard of a form of learning called operant conditioningthat
I am going to try out.
I have heard of one form of learning that people use called classical conditioning.
Classical conditioning is a form of learning where an organism learns by

Practicum Placement
My first practicum placement for this semester, I was placed at Henry F. Moss
Middle School. When I found out that I had to observe and teach a lesson to
middle schoolers, I was not thrilled. I have never had any interest in teaching
