Platform approach to scaling machine learning across the enterpriseOlalekan Fuad Elesin
We will walk through how we are scaling and democratizing the development of intelligent products based on AI with a platform approach. From the culture needed to shape this mindset, to execution which resulted into reducing the time it takes to productionize machine learning by 50%. We will discuss how we leveraged product mindset, coupled with data, to enable data scientists to be 50% more productive, while scaling the knowledge across our internal builder community.
This document provides an introduction and overview of machine learning concepts and Azure Machine Learning. It defines machine learning as finding patterns in data and using those patterns to predict the future. It outlines the machine learning workflow and lifecycle, including preparing data, applying algorithms to find patterns, iterating to create the best model, and deploying the final model. It also describes machine learning concepts like supervised and unsupervised learning, and different problem types like regression, classification, and clustering. Finally, it discusses options for using Azure Machine Learning, including free and full-featured paid accounts, and demonstrates its use.
Daniel Peter, a Salesforce MVP, gave a presentation on Einstein Next Best Action. He demonstrated how to build recommendation strategies using Strategy Builder to customize recommendations for any object. Strategies can include rules and AI by connecting to predictive models through Apex. Some tips included writing formulas directly in Strategy Builder and using dynamic screen flows to launch from recommendations, although passing the recommendation ID is currently limited. The full capabilities of Next Best Action, such as packaging strategies, are still developing.
Pinterest - Big Data Machine Learning Platform at PinterestAlluxio, Inc.
This was presented by the Yongsheng Wu, head of big data and ML platform at Pinterest, at the Alluxio bay area meetup.

It provides details on the speaker, agenda, and how to access the Zoom meeting for the presentation.
Why do most machine learning projects never make it to productionCameron Vetter
Cameron Vetter discusses common mistakes made in machine learning projects that prevent them from making it into production. Some key issues include a lack of leadership support and poorly defined goals, data science teams focusing only on model creation without ensuring it is production-ready, choosing overly complex projects instead of starting simple, having the wrong team composition without the needed roles, and not establishing proper processes around software development lifecycles, testing, and monitoring of models once in production. The presentation provides advice on how to address these problems such as gaining business buy-in, taking an iterative approach, evaluating existing solutions, and having the right team and processes in place.

With the growing buzz around data science, many professionals want to learn how to become a data scientist—the role Harvard Business Review called the “sexiest job of the 21st century.” Francesca Lazzeri and Jaya Mathew explain what it takes to become a data scientist and how artificial intelligence solutions have started to reinvent businesses.
Francesca and Jaya begin by outlining the typical skillset an exceptional data scientist needs. They then explore common applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence in different business verticals and explore why some companies are much more successful than others at driving analytics-based business transformation. Francesca and Jaya dive into a couple of specific use cases to demonstrate how machine learning and artificial intelligence can help drive business impact within an organization and how the right technology platform can boost employee productivity and help them innovate and iterate rapidly. You’ll learn why a modern cloud analytics environment that makes it easy to collect data, analyze, experiment, and quickly put things into production with a targeted set of customers is becoming a must-have for data-driven organizations and walk through a detailed use case, from how the data typically gets collected to data wrangling, building a model, tuning the model, and operationalizing the model for a business to use in their production environment.
Watch the PPT to learn how intelligent automation enables companies to build remote working capabilities, increase productivity, and optimize the workforce.
What would happen if we would bring design, front end, back end etc. all together? How could we improve the user-flows by thinking of alternative, non-happy flows? What would happen to the performance and therefore the user-experience when back end is already involved before the finalised wireframes are handed over?!
That's all nice and dandy. But we do need to deal with some concerns like:
- Knowledge gap: How can the different disciplines with their specialty understand each other and come to conclusions?
- Shared responsibilities: Where do start and where do they end?
- Efficiency: What would it do to the efficiency of the team when they get different tasks?
In this session we’ll dive in together;
- seeing what the pro's and con's are of a multidisciplinaire way of working,
- what tips and tricks can be exchanged,
- and what kind of tools can help in smoothing out the concerns that arise
This resume is for Satyaki Chakraborty, who has over 4 years of experience as a Salesforce Certified Developer and Administrator. He has worked on multiple projects involving customizing Salesforce platforms, developing Apex and Visualforce components, and building a Salesforce AppExchange application. This document summarizes an upcoming Salesforce Apex Hours webinar on boosting app performance with Platform Cache. The webinar will be presented by Daniel Stange on January 4, 2020. It will cover key concepts of Platform Cache like caching strategies, data to cache, cache types and considerations. The presentation will also include a demo of implementing Platform Cache, including a read-through cache example. Attendees will learn how Platform Cache can significantly improve app performance and how to design caching strategies for their own implementations.
The document provides information about benchmarking Apex code and declarative logic in Salesforce to measure CPU time usage. It discusses the CPU time limits that were introduced in Winter '14 and how they are calculated based on milliseconds allowed per record. Various techniques for benchmarking Apex code performance are demonstrated, such as measuring the cost of field assignments, serialization, and array iteration. Benchmarking declarative logic like workflows, processes, and validation rules is also covered. The document warns of the risks of CPU timeouts occurring from the combined impact of multiple applications, packages, or declarative components interacting on a record.
