This document contains an interior design portfolio by Sadaf Mohammadi that includes projects from 2004-2019. The portfolio includes summaries of 14 interior design projects including boutique hotels, offices, residences, cafes, and medical centers located in cities like Miami, Dubai, and San Francisco. Many of the projects focused on incorporating sustainable design principles and cultural influences into the interior spaces. The portfolio also includes 3D renderings of some of the designed spaces.

3. Farah Boutique Hotel
Brickell, Miami Boutique Hotel
Qasr Al Farah or “Farah’s Palace,” is an incredibly majestic boutique hotel located in
the heart of Brickell in the city of Miami. The hotel is dedicated to Farah Diba Pahlavi,
Empress of Iran. Decorated to fit the lavish lifestyle of a queen, Qasr Al Farah offers
luxury to all who pass through her doors. Qasr Al Farah is a symbol of elegance.
A tasteful blend between the contemporary and traditional style of the décor contribute
to the unparalleled ambience provided. This stunning new hotel is a precious jewel in
the crown of Miami’s business district.

6. XL Tower Office
The project objective was to create our own Interior Design
Office with a full complement of design staff spaces infused with
our own personal taste and the influence of the contemporary
architectural style of the existing building.
The XL Tower is a mixed use building located in the Business
Bay District of Duabi, U.A.E. The challenge was to reflect the
building elliptical curtain wass without literally
mimicking it.
The design solution was to generate a pivot point within the
interior space that would radiate an array of walls and decor
while addressing exterior views and inter-office
adjacencies.

9. Sky Penthouse
Brickell, FL Mint Condominium
The project objective was to design a sustainable residence meeting LEED Home
requirements that intermingled the designer’s cultural background with South Florida’s
enviroment.
The design solution was a LEED platinum residence that was based on the research of
historical Perisan architectural styles that offered climate controls for a harsh, hot and
aird environment that were adapted to South Florida’s hot and humid climate.
The technology and materials used reduced the carbon footprint by lowering
maintenance cost over the lifecycle of the structure. The exterior and interior design of
the home intgrated tradtional Persian influences.

The project objective was to create our own Interior Design Office with a full complement

13. Dermatology Center
Miami, FL Surface
The principle of healing defined within the five elements of wood, fire, earth, metal and
water were applied through the design.
The existing long rectangular building located along the Biscayne corridor presented
challanges due to the placement of load bearing walls and the narrow proportions of
the space.
The design dolution was to scale down the existing conditions with a similar vocabulary
of juxtaposed rectangular forms.

15. 2121 Biscayne Blvd
Miami, FL Zhai Dian Cafe
The project objective was to create a Herbal Tea Cafe with open and fixed seating
areas, a service bar, manager’s office and retail displays.
The challenge was to create defined zones with in a program with no defintive
boundaries. The design solution created various focal points through the use of
cuvilinear retail displays, floor patterns and cascading ceiling treatments that integrated
into fixed seating.
