17. SIMON STOCK AND THE SCAPULARA
 Saint Simon Stock was a Carmelite Saint,
who help to spread the devotion of the
BROWN SCAPULAR
 THE SCAPULAR was presented by Our
Lady to St. Simon Stock, the Father
General of the Carmelite Order, on July 16,
1251.
 St. Simon was an English hermit and lived
in the hollow of a tree.

 Santa Teresa de Avila said:

 Metals are use to honor the

 During the Medieval times Medals were a
souvenir of going in a pilgrimage.
 So when we see the medal of Guadalupe,
 It is a pilgrim, when going to visit the shrine of
Our Lady of Guadalupe,
 get a metal and wear it, to remain themselves
that they have being there



And that Mary has a message for us: “To do What
Jesus said”
To remains us every moment that we must make

construed as being so,
but only serve as constant physical reminders of devotion
and Mary's promise.
