GOD WANTS US TO BE REAL
• There are some things that look good and feel good,
• but they are not good.
• Some things are real, some are fake.
• Sometimes, it is heard to tell the difference between
something real or fake.
• God wants us to be what he created us: REAL!
• He wants us to be the sons and daughters of God— not in an
artificial “fake” way,
• but in a real way: to be as good as God is good.
• The goodness of God has a special name: “HOLY”
• How do we become holy, REAL children of God?
• Jesus shows us the way.
• Today we will find out how we can recognize and take care
of the special life that He gives us.
• God knows that we need to care for His gift of real life.
A GOOD FRIEND
1. Who do you think is a good friend?
• Someone who helps you to be what God has made us to be!
2. We all like friends. Why?
• Because we need to love and to be love!
• We feel good around our friends.
• We feel happy. We feel alive
3. Does friendships last only one day? We hope not!
a) Real friends are friends for a long time.
b) They help each other.
c) They give each other strength,
d) Friends could be a great help.
4. How do you really know that you have a good friend?
• For example, When they share their food with you
• It is nice to share meal with a friend
• They know that you are special. And you feel good,.
BEING GOOD FRIENDS
• Another important thing about having good friends is
• that you can make mistakes..
• Maybe sometimes you say something to your friend. That hurts
him— but because you are friends, you can make up.
• You can start all over again, and say loving words instead.
• Isn't it good to know that your friend love you?
• Even when you are sick and not doing well,
• your friends want to visit you, keep you company.
• What do you think is the best thing about being friends?
• I thinks the best thing is to grow up together.

• Have you ever thought of Jesus as your friend? As
your best friend? As a loving Friend!
• Jesus wants to be our friend!
• He had many friends; we see it in the Bible:
• Peter and John
• and the apostles and Lazarus, and his two sisters,
Mary and Martha
• and many, many more friends.
• He wants to be close to us, to be with us always.

• How do we meet Jesus and become
friends?
• In a very special way: in the Church and in
the Sacraments.

• and WE BECOME PART OF HIS FAMILY.
• How does it happen?
• In the Sacrament of Baptism.
• WATER stands for the Sacrament of Baptism.
• Light the baptismal Candle, with the fire of the
Pascal Candle, means that already was received
God’s Divine Life (Grace) in the soul.
JESUS IN THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
• Good friends give STRENGTH to each other.
• Jesus gives us his Spirit, and more Grace, so we can
grow and love and become loyal friends of God.
• That is the greatest strength of all!
• We receive the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of
Confirmation.
• A Bishop blessing someone with Chrism,
• CHRIST IS the holy oil, symbol of the Sacrament of
confirmation.
SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST
• We said it is good to share meals with
our friends.
• Jesus gives us special kind of food.
• Jesus gives us his own Body and Blood.
• Bread and Wine are symbols of the Holy
Eucharist.
• Eucharist nourish our soul; and give us
Grace.
• Without grace our will is weaken;
• our flesh is subjected to passions, and
our reason is subjected to error.
• The light of the candles symbolize the
Grace of God, that we just received in
our souls.
JESUS IN THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
• What happens to our friendship with Jesus, when
we make mistakes?
• He says:
• “Come to me. Don’t stay away!
• Don’t let your mistakes or your sins keep you away
form me!
• Come to me! I wan to be close to you always!”
• Someone telling his sins to a Priest and receiving
forgiveness.
• The Priest stands for our loving Lord, together with
the whole Christian community.
• This is the symbol of the Sacrament of Penance, or
Reconciliation.
• In this Sacrament we receive more Grace by the
Power of the Holy Spirit, so we can resist evil
doing.
JESUS IN THE SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE
SICK
• Where do you think Jesus is when we are sick and
not feeling well? He is with us!
• Jesus always took care of the sick!
• He wants to be closer to us, especially when we are
not sure what would happen to us next.
• He gave us His Grace to fortify our spirit and give us
courage to face the unknown.
• In the Sacrament of the “Anointing of the Sick”,
Jesus comes to us in a special way.
• The Priest bless us with the oil of the sick, a special
oil.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
• Do you love your Mom and Dad? Jesus does!
• He wants to be part of every family,
• and through his Church, he wants to bless and support
their love.
• A couple exchanging vows in the Church, as symbol of
the Sacrament of Marriage.
• Lighting the candles from Pascal candle means they
have receive God’s Grace in their Marriage by the
Power of the Holy Spirit.
SACRAMENT OF HOLY ORDERS
• Do you know what the greatest sign
of Jesus’ love for us is?
• He found ways to be with us always.
• Jesus is with us in a very special way
through his Priests, by the Power of
the HOLY SPIRIT
• It is through the Priests that we
receive the touch of Jesus in the
Sacraments.
• A Bishop placing his hand on a
young man who is receiving the
Sacrament of Priesthood, Holy
Orders.
• This Sacrament give them Grace by
the Power of the Holy Spirit.

We learn today about the gifts we receive: the 7
Sacraments
• These are the 7 Sacraments,
a) ways for us to meet Jesus,
b) receive Grace,
c) and be his friends.

BE CLOSE TO JESUS
• Jesus can and does change our lives! By
pouring God’s Grace in our soul through the
Sacraments, by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
• When we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus,
we can bring Jesus to others.
• When we receive the wonderful gift of the Holy
Spirit, we can bring the Spirit of God to his
people.
• These Sacraments that were given to us are for
others, too. So that we can be a blessing to
others.
