discipline, IR, training & development, statutory compliance etc to facilitate building and retaining
competent manpower.

training sessions and in coordination with external consultants to train and build up a strong

Highlights of Major Responsibilities
• Drawing manpower plan for Technical / Non-Technical roles including preparing job descriptions in
coordination with functional heads.
• Efficiently utilizing HR research and other channels to recruit qualified personnel. Organizing/
scheduling interviews in coordination with departmental heads to facilitate selection process.
• Coordinated with the professional consultants in conducting written tests /interviews to select
people of required traits to man various job slots across diverse functional zones.
• Arranging induction trainings for new recruits to integrate them with the system. Promoting Bank’s
image as “employer of choice” both internally and externally.
• Effectively handling other HR activities including wages & salary administration, grievance
handling, discipline, performance management, leave management, succession planning, record
keeping etc including compliance with statutory provisions.
• Providing motivational inputs to create cohesive and qualified workforce with strong sense of
affiliation.
• Meticulously implementing organization’s HR policies and programmers to minimize attrition and
prolong retention of competent manpower.
• Identifying training needs of the establishment and engaging renowned training providers to ensure
best in class training delivery to the participants.
• Ensuring harmonious relations between Union and Management and developing effective feedback
mechanism.
• Actively involved in resolving industrial disputes by participating in conciliation meetings with
union leaders. Maintained good liaison with various government authorities in related HR matters.
• Conducted training classes for the bank’s workforce as Faculty in the Bank’s training Centre and
updated their knowledge and skills in various functional domains.
• Finally retired from the services of the bank on 31st
may after contributing 34 years of service.
• Conducting training classes at Bank’s Zonal Training Centre as Guest Faculty, as and when required
during the last few months.
