February Revolution




The February Revolution was the first of two revolutions in Russia in 1917. The February

Revolution happened because the cities for the workers was terrible and they were getting tired.

The revolution confined to the capital lasting less than a week, involving mass demonstrations

and armed clashes with police and gendarmes. It appeared to brake out randomly, without any

real leadership or formal planning.
October Revolution




It took place with an armed insurrection in Petrograd traditionally dated to 25 October 1917 also

known as the Great October Socialist Revolution.The revolution was led by the Bolsheviks, who

used their influence in the Petrograd Soviet to organize the armed forces. Bolshevik Red Guards

forces under the Military Revolutionary Committee began the takeover of government buildings

on 24 October 1917. The October Revolution in Petrograd overthrew the Russian Provisional

Government and gave the power to the local soviets dominated by Bolsheviks.
Bolsheviks Party




The Bolsheviks came to power in Russia during the October Revolution phase of the Russian

Revolution of 1917. The Bolsheviks were a faction of the Marxist Russian Social Democratic

Labour Party (RSDLP). The Bolshevik revolutionary leader Leon Trotsky commonly used the

terms "Bolshevism" and "Bolshevist" after his exile from the Soviet Union. In early October,

Vladimir Lenin convinced the Bolshevik Party that the time for revolution had come. As the

leading, but not sole, personality in the Bolshevik Party, he is considered the leader of the

Bolshevik Revolution.

Lenin Vladimir was significant because hewas a Russian communist revolutionary, politician

and political theorist. He also served as the leader of the Russian Soviet Federative
SocialistRepublicfrom 1917.He started the Bolshevik Party. He also lived in an exile in

Switzerland.

The significance of this flag was that it represented the Soviet Union after the Russian

Revolution in 1917. The flag design was a star hammer and a sickle. The hammer
symbolizesurban industrial workers. The sickle represented agricultural workers (peasants) who

together, as the proletarian class, form the state.


                                          Czar Nicholas II
Czar Nicholas II was born May18, 1868. Nicholas was the son of Emperor Alexander III and

Empress Maria. Nicholas II was the last tsar of Russia. The revolution was against the tsar which

proceeded in December 1916 when a few conservatives in Tsar Nicholas' court conspired to

remove him from power. On July 17, 1918 he and his family were killed by the Bolsheviks.
