INTRODUCTION
RuPay is a brand of NPCI under which it operates the card scheme. The National
Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is a pioneer organization in the field of retail
payments in India. It is a body promoted by RBI and has presently ten core promoter
banks (State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda,
Union bank of India, Bank of India, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Citibank and HSBC).
We are representing here about the Rupay(Indian Payment System And Card Network).
RUPAY
• RuPay is an Indian multinational financial services
and Payment Service System.
• Conceived and launched by the National Payments
Corporation of India (NPCI) in 2012.
• It was created to fulfil the Reserve Bank of India 's
(RBI) vision of establishing a domestic, open and
multilateral system of payments.
DEBIT CARD
A RuPay Debit Card is a plastic card that can be
used as a method of payment which is issued by
your bank where you have an account.
A debit card can be used to:
• Withdraw funds from an ATM.
• Pay for shopping at a Point of Sale.
• Pay for online purchases.

A Rupay credit card helps you in quick and easy borrowing of
credit, make convenient payments and meet everyday expenses
in your life that you will pay for later.
A credit card can be used to:

• Withdraw funds from an ATM
• Online purchase
• Use for purchases on EMI

As an extension to the RuPay Debit scheme, in 2014 the

EMV Chip
Chip Prepaid Cards come with an embedded microchip that provides additional security against
counterfeiting/duplication of the card.

Last day of the month and year up to which the card is valid

A three-digit code on the reverse of the card used for online transactions
Magnetic Stripe
The magnetic stripe contains cardholder information in encoded format.
