ASSIGNMENT 3 2
Assignment 3
Motivation is key for the success of a company as it facilitates the attainment of the company goals and initiatives. It is the responsibilities of managers to induce motivation with the purpose of giving the company direction. The creation of a mission driven organization is a way of motivating employees. In international organizations, task-driven organizations enable employees to align their goals with the goals stated by the organization. Factors such as fostering career development and the promotion of personal growth are ideal for the growth of the company. The application of award recognition is a recommendable practice that focuses on positive idea alignment. It recognizes the efforts of the employees in the required spectrum by specifying on the basic needs that needs to be attained. However, the plan will face various risks, such as cultural differences, unnecessary competition between employees, and increased conflict. Performing a risk analysis is very suitable for this situation.
The existence of unnecessary competition is an expected risk that can be identified with the motivation program. The application of the award on performance as a way of motivation is an effective tool but has existing setbacks such as increased competition among employees. Ccontinual competition leads to the creation of unhealthy competition that later turns out to be rivalry. The practive can occur between departments and individual employees. This may cause them to adopt unfair practices to negatively affect the organization's better performance (Hidayah & Windijarto, 2018). On the other hand, the unnecessary competition leads to the rise of conflict amongst employees. This would make the organization to focus more on the conflict and competition and shifting its focus away from its goals and performance.
Cultural difference is a key risk associated with the practice based on the different environment that the company experiences. The culture in East Asia is not the same one in Europe and the United States. This issue is a factor that the company is likely to go through on a regular basis. The motivational approach that may apply in the Middle East may not apply in Africa making it a major risk that the company needs to assess (Hopkins, 2016). This factor is mainly related to religion and morality, and it is believed that certain employees from the region may have it. The identification of the factor as a key risk plays an important part in ensuring that cultural variations are given a broader thought as they make all the motivational methods that were identified to be practically ineffective.
Cultural differences create a key impact in the effectiveness of the motivational approaches that I would apply in the dimensional company setting. The integration of the multicultural themes can prove to be difficult based on the different cultural stereotypes that may exist. These factors create difficulties ...

Talent Management Strategy
An HR team without a talent management strategy and plan fails to perform its role. In fact, an organization with such an HR team does not give talent management activities the importance they require (Khatri, Gupta, Gulati, & Chauhan, 2010). The hardest part in designing a talent management is getting started with the plan. An effective talent management strategy should map out the goals and priorities of an organization and tie them to its strategic plan. The current analysis will formulate a six step talent management approach to encompass an organization with two hundred people in which twenty are identified leaders. The talent management strategy will include identifying organizational goals, identifying organizational drivers and challenges, identifying gaps, defining HR priorities and goals, conducting an inventory of the talent management processes, and measuring the results and communicate success.
The first step is to identify organizational goals and priorities. The organization should identify its strategic high-level goals and priorities. The leaders should examine whether there are any upcoming changes, initiatives, or directions for the company. In the case of any new directions, the leaders should identify and list each one of them. The second step is identifying the organizational drivers as well as its challenges. Every business has both internal and external challenges. The challenges could include a highly competitive job market, results from an employee satisfaction survey, new or changed regulations and legislation, and new technology.
Thirdly, the organization required to conduct a gap analysis. Here, business leaders should compare where the organization is today with where they want it to be. Besides, it is essential to consider the risk and address the gaps in the company. For example, an organization that wishes to be ranked first in the industry for customer satisfaction needs to identify its current rating on customer satisfaction. It is only then that the business will identify the gap between its current rating and the kind of rating required to make it the leader in customer satisfactions. The risk of failing to improve the customer satisfaction rating might be a drop in sales or the market share.
Fourthly, business leaders should define the HR priorities and goals of the company. The HR goals should be based on the goals, challenges, and gaps that were identified in the previous steps. The identified goals ought to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound (SMART). Additionally, the HR goals should be linked to the applicable corporate goals. The HR team should introduce measures in the implementation stage to determine the effectiveness of the strategy. It is critical to ensure t ...

Proposal for Organizational Learning Issues
All firms tend to face a wide range of challenges. These challenges hinder the effective delivery of services and objectives. In the organization transition management, some specific concerns in ABC Company have risen threatening the existential integrity of the organization. It is important to note that all firms have goals that determine the courses of their operations. It is also critical to observe that within the organization and among the different ranks of the workers in ABC there are different levels of understanding when it comes to the organizational goals. A good example to illustrate this disparity is the fact that the executives and the top management may understand or have a clear sight of the destination while the junior workers have a hazy blurred sight of the target. In fact, some might not even goals at all. As a result, these workers will operate like rudderless ships and consequently there is a loss of focus and poor productivity in general (Cameron & Green, 2017).
Secondly, different firms have different training systems tasked with the primary role of preparing the workers to tackle their tasks and enhance the achievement of the firm’s objectives r goals. In the case of ABC Company, it is vividly clear that the organization has a sophisticated training system that is preventing the firm from achieving human resource demands. In such circumstances, employees and staff fail to come to terms with the goals of training that the organization is championing for. This has had a tremendous impact on the quality of production. Finally, the is the lack of teamwork amongst workers. This is further fueled by the lack of understanding the importance as well as the value of teamwork which presents a concern with the best interest of the organization at heart. For ABC to develop and serve the proper functions and goals that are set out to be achieved, there must be an assessment of the concerns addressed to set up an avenue for better and prosperous organizational future.
With regard to the issues raised, it is recommended that the organization pioneers and invests in helping its workers understand the organizational goals of the workers across the different ranks. Most importantly the junior workers must show a clear understanding of the direction that the organization is striving to take as well as a pre-conceived destination or direction. The best approach to accomplish this is to improve communication channels and standards among the leaders of the firm and the employees. When leaders create a communication barrier between the administration and the workers which can be characterized as a one-way communication or a top to bottom type of communication, it becomes difficult for the provision of the reverse type o ...

Ford Motor Company uses a strategic structure that closely monitors the needs of the business on different conditions of the market. The company manufactures several products that are intended to target a variety of consumers in the market. However, the firm faces several competition from Toyota, General Motors and others. Either way, the company has started a One Ford slogan that pushes it through these economic crisis.
Competitive Analysis
The motor industry is characterized by a rapid increase in innovation. These innovations are all fuelled by the rapid increase in the changes of technology. First, the design of the vehicles were based on “horseless carriages” that the people were used to in those times (Polk & Co, n.d). However with the rapid technological changes, new and fashionable designs are being developed every day. Moreover, there is also the advancement of technologies such as lean production, ERP and others being utilized in the industry.
Every day, the needs of consumers change. Their tastes and preferences are highly versatile which means that Ford Company is always on its toes to try to come up with a new model that will be liked by the consumers. Therefore, they need to incorporate technology in the design of their automobiles according to the consumers’ preferences and tastes. Additionally, legal political factors are also evidenced in the motor industry. Motor industries is viewed as an important aspect in economy of a country. Thus the governments would not want to lose this industry. As a result, the governments have been known to pump cash in the industry to ensure that they keep running.
The most intense competitive forces affecting Ford Company is the high threat of substitutes. There are other substitute’s fuels that consumers could easily switch to which will leave Ford at a disadvantage. Secondly, consumers may also use alternative means and modes of transport and finally, customer loyalty has immense influence on consumers.
Strategic Position and Direction
Ford Company has garnered so much attention with its One Ford campaign. Moreover, with the government interferences, the company is doing so much better. However, their main issue is the uncertainties in the economic direction of the globe. The company uses differentiated strategy in order to target various consumers. The companies produces economy cars, sports cars, trucks and others (Ford Motor Company, 2015). The different variety of products the company offers its consumers gives them wider choices which attracts loyal customers.

Top management plays a crucial role within an organization through value proposition and enhancing the adoption of strategies to strengthen the company’s position. Significantly, leadership plays a vital role in the implementation of innovative practices within an organization. In this regard, leaders often function as change agents by not only creating a vision but also highlighting the need for organizational change and enactment of the identified change process (Aarons, Ehrhart, Farahnak & Hurlburt, 2015). The importance of this initiative is emphasized by the fact that implementation of continuous and transformational change enables a firm to remain competitive. As a result, leadership innovation and implementation of change initiatives are subject to supplemental research as it equips effective organization strategies for sustenance in the highly competitive business environment (Gilley, Gilley & McMillan, 2010). Considerably, the implementation of change practices has in the past been inhibited by the inability to modify organizational leadership styles (Mustafa, 2017). Therefore, implementation of the organizational change initiative highlights the importance of adopting innovative leadership styles.

The lenses of change will be examined through the failure of a pilot project designed to transition the workers and management. This project will be assessed on the ability to meet is preset objectives and the parameters for the organization design for this growing business.
Identified Issues or Potential Problem Areas
The problem areas and issues include a lack of leadership, a lack of experience about the client, poor team interaction and finally dereliction of understanding within the company regarding the new strategic direction. Most of the problems can be directly correlated to poor communication, which is the foundation of the success within consulting firms who depend on their ability to communicate the needs of clients into workable solutions. As there is no communication, there is also a lack of and disrespect of leadership a product of a weak organizational structure. By delving into the current issues, a clear method can be determined for a workable course of action.
Communication
There appears to be a lack of cross division communication within the agency. Divisions are working in silos and there is little to no existing means of collaborating about existing projects. The cross functional team intended to break that barrier, is strikingly deficient in the area of intra-communication. The problem identified in the small group, as reported by the case synopsis, is mirroring the current internal culture of closed communication. This closed interaction is the concern of all levels of workers. A lack of professional courtesy was observed between department leaders; in this case division leaders ushered their peers to speak with lower level specialists to obtain information and support for integrative business solutions. The lack of interaction indicates that communication problems may be the result of a breakdown within the organizational structure.

Subject: Paul’s Discount Tires and Repairs Strategic Plan

1.
A. What is wrong with this strategy?
There is no real clear strategy here but to stay the course of what the company is doing now. That will not sustain you for long in the current financial environment. Stating they will stick to the core values of the company but not what those values are is vague. Outlining goals and implementing them in a way that they can be successfully achieved is the first step in the SMART business plan (Saylor.org, n.d., pg. 42). Working on an actual vision/mission statement for the company would give the employees and stockholders an idea of what direction the company is going in and how they plan to get there.
2.
B. What is right with this strategy?
One of the 5 “P’s” of strategy is the pattern (Saylor.org, n.d., pg 12, para 1), as in a pattern of behavior. Paul’s Tire and Repair shop has been doing this job for the city for over 21 years with a consistency that the city can depend on. Being able to maintain that culture is going to be a big benefit going forward to help alleviate the stress of the COVID pandemic. Being open and giving the public the service that they have come to depend on will keep them coming back to the shop to continue to do business.
3.
C. We are the leader in discount tires and repairs in our city, indicating that we currently have a competitive advantage. Will we sustain it with this strategy?
The unpredictable nature of the pandemic is such that it is unclear how long it will go on and what the length of its course is going to take on the clientele that we currently have in the city. By stating Pau ...
The document discusses factors that drive international performance for companies and proposes a model. It suggests that international performance is driven by three key factors: 1) export marketing strategy, 2) international competence, and 3) managerial commitment. It then illustrates these factors as part of a virtuous cycle. The document also discusses incorporating an export marketing model into a management model framework.

Do young children use cell phones? Apparently so, according to a recent study (A. Ross, “Message to Santa; Kids Want a Phone,” Palm Beach Post, December 16, 2008,pp. 1A, 4A), which stated that cell phone users under 12 years of age averaged 137 calls per month as compared to 231 calls per month for cell phone users 13 to 17 years of age. No sample sizes were reported. Suppose that the results were based on samples of 50 cell phone users in each group and that the sample standard deviation for cell phone users under 12 years of age was 51.7 calls per month and the sample standard deviation for cell phone users 13 to 17 years of
age was 67.6 calls per month.
a. Using a 0.05 level of significance, is there evidence of a difference in the variances of cell phone usage between cell phone users under 12 years of age and cell phone users 13 to 17 years of age?
b. On the basis of the results in (a), which t test defined in Section 10.1 should you use to compare the means of the two groups of cell phone users? Discuss.

Improving Organizational Culture
Organizational culture is the strategies that an enterprise uses to succeed in its operations. They comprise the strategies used to carry out operations, values, missions, and visions. Over time, the goals of the organization and values that workers uphold may change, necessitating the enhancement of the culture to align with the transformations. Additionally, the prevailing strategies may no longer be effective, necessitating changes (Yaremchuk, 2020). In such a situation, it is necessary to transform the organizational culture so that it is in tandem with significant factors such as the enterprise's mission, vision, and strategies. This essay examines Hendrick Health's organizational culture to determine the areas that need improvement. It uses Kotter's 8-step framework to incorporate the necessary changes and afterward outlines the desired outcomes of the change. It also scrutinizes the resulting alignment of the organizational culture with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategies.

Hendrick Health’s Current Culture
Hendrick Health has a distinct organizational culture that steers its operations. Some of the core cultural practices that define it include respecting the diversity present in society by employing employees from different cultural affiliations and treating them all equally. The organization also encourages its personnel to be innovative by finding creative solutions to the problems that arise in the organization (Harrison et al., 2021). Additionally, the organization prioritizes the happiness of its employees and patients. It also believed in giving back to society. Despite the efficiency of Hendrick Health's culture, several shortcomings have been noted in the organization that necessitates changes in its current culture. For instance, cases of conflicts emerging between workers have increased significantly over the past few months. The conflicts are attributed to inadequate communication at all levels of the organization (Alghamdi, 2018). Therefore, it is necessary to improve the organizational culture by making effective communication part of it.

Most of the firms are used to making use of strategic management so as to make sure that they continuously strategize their plans and processes towards success. In other words, it is the responsibility of every firm to select and choose the skilled personnel so as to offer them the top ranked positions in the organization (Hill, & Jones, 2010). It is so as to give them a chance of investing their skills and resources so as to help the firm earn high profit. In other words, most of the firms including the Frito-Lay Company is required to continuously evaluate its procedures and the effectiveness of the employees that will enable them to prevent the occurrence of mistakes. The paper provides the internal analysis, SWOT analysis, and identification of the core capabilities sections of the Frito Lay Company. Comment by Alsudays, Mohammed A.: You need a citation to show the original source for this definition of internal analysis. Comment by Alsudays, Mohammed A.: This paper is not just about staffing -- you need to expand this to discuss the company as a whole, not just the employees.
Internal analysis
Internal analysis refers to the process by which firms give responsibilities to different employees allowing them to closely make follow up on how the organization has attained success. In other words, the internal analysis is the activity of taking the time to evaluate and examine the internal activities of an organization so as to be in a position to identify any mistakes that may have been done during the implementation of particular strategies. It is, therefore, the mandate of the Frito Company’s management to select the best individuals who are skilled when it comes to the matters of assessment and evaluation. The employees should have had enough experience in the past that will make it easy for them to produce valid and reliable results.
Therefore, internal analysis refers to the different activities that are performed by the Frito-Lay Company. The main idea behind conducting the internal analysis is so as to work towards formulating the best plans that will help the organization to continually act in a manner that will motivate all its stakeholders. The internal analysis enables the leaders to ask themselves different questions including what is the current situation? Are the strategies and plans working effectively? What are some of the weaknesses of the firm? What are some of the strengths of the firm?
Some of these questions are of great impact to the firm based on the fact that they help the management team to understand how they are going to influence the other employees towards the achievement of success in the firm. The internal analysis enables the organization to focus on the choices that have been made in the past so as to make sure that they are working as per the expectations. Why is shared information so important in a learning organization in comparison to an efficient performance organization? Discuss how an organization’s approach to sharing information may be related to other elements of organization design such as: structure, tasks, strategy, and culture.
Shared information is more important to a learning organization as compared to an efficiently performing organization because a learning organization needs transformation. Through the shared information, different stakeholders of the organization can learn different concepts that will enable them to be more effective on their contribution towards the success of the organization. On the contrary, the shared information is not so important to an efficient organization because it believes that it has achieved the best results. Therefore, there is no need or room for improvement. Learning organizations find such information so important because they can implement it in different departments to make sure that processes and activities are improved for the interest of boosting the efficiency of the organization (Michael, 2011).
An organization’s approach to sharing information is related to other elements of the organization because they need to work together to achieve a common goal. For instance, an organization needs relevant information that will enable it to develop the right structure that will assist it in achieving its goals. Additionally, the kind of information that an organization possesses as well as how it is shared affects the nature of the structure that is developed. Taking into consideration other elements such as strategy, the information shared in an organization affects this. For instance, the approach that an organization chooses to share information depends on the strategy in use. Keeping this in mind, it is noted that sharing of information is related to strategy.
What are some differences that one might anticipate among the expectations of stakeholder for a nonprofit organization versus a for-profit business? Do you believe nonprofit managers have to pay more attention to stakeholders than business managers?
Stakeholders in nonprofit and for-profit organizations have different expectations. The two kinds of organizations are based on completely different principles, and these affect the expectations of the stakeholders. A stakeholder in a nonprofit organization expects the organization to deliver the purpose for which it was established (Wolf, 2012). For instance, if an organization was established to help the needy, it should accomplish this objective. On the contrary, stakeholders of a for-profit organization have different expectations. For instance, a shareholder expects the organization to be effective regarding business so that he can realize increased returns f ...

Check this scenario out. Long term care can consists of servicing patients need at a patient's home, providing meals, transportation and in home therapy. Some long term care is within the home and some can be rehab. Lets say there is a growing need to extend those services to our growing need in elderly population. Part of that need is a demand for servicing the increasing population of the Hispanic community. We as a team need to meet with a cross- functional management team that can relay the need and services outside of the facility. We need hired people who are bilingual that can work the call center, deliver food, offer in home therapy, and provide transportation.
Our audience will be the new management team. Each member of the coordination of care team of management will cover or be responsible for one of those areas. Our standpoint will be that we are the board of directors that would be talking with them.

The economic standards of countries keep changing as days go by. Therefore, I would recommend that the company changes its geographical sco.

Vision: To ignite and empower employees with innovative leadership strategies to enhance implementation of organizational changes and overcome challenges, and attain aspiration. The mission statement for the change initiative is; driven to positively impact organizations through the advancement of leadership approaches that facilitate the integration of organizational change management practices to strengthen the company’s position. Through this, the initiative seeks to emphasize the importance of incorporating innovative leadership strategies as they facilitate change processes thereby cementing a firm’s competitive position within the business environment (Aarons, Ehrhart, Farahnak & Hurlburt, 2015). Significantly, its core belief and culture is enhancing cohesion between the top management and employees thereby creating a positive impact on staff morale and productivity (Mustafa, 2017). The role of innovative leadership is the facilitation of effective communication to the staff members by the top management. Therefore, leaders will be required to operate from a broader perspective particularly during the generation of ideas and improvement of organizational practices during the change process.
Venture Description
The implementation of organizational change practices is dictated by the adoption of innovation and change management practices to support the initiative. Notably, most companies adopt a bureaucratic type of leadership for undertaking different roles and responsibilities (Mustafa, 2017). While this leadership approach has been succes ...

Business Background Facts
This Agency is a small startup consulting firm whose current focus is administrative and technical support for small school districts. The company has excelled its business through a niche, founded where the needs of schools within small districts lacked internal support and dollars to accomplish routine tasks. Currently, this company is seeking to expand beyond its successes of small districts and grow to meet the needs of large districts.
According to the company profile, it is comprised four divisions they are: “Procurement and Systems”, “Information Technology”, “Contract Negotiation”, and “Facility Planning”. These spectrums of services offered allow the company to assist with meeting, for a fee, the needs of schools with a limited budget and small staff. As the company continued to be successful, in order to meet the new direction, organizational changes will be identified as needed.

Date: August 19, 2022
1.

Some of the generic and grand strategies ca ...

250 words discussion not an assignement
The purpose of this discussion is to gain a more complete awareness of the extent of socio-environmental influences impacting the development of adolescents. Triandis (as cited in Coon and Kemmelmeier, 2001) states, "Individualism and collectivism are broadly defined cultural syndromes that encompass a number of elements, including values, norms, goals, and behaviors" (Coon and Kemmelmeier, 2001, p. 348).
Consider the audio piece in this unit's studies (also linked in the Resources) that compares two teens' viewpoints of life within their cultural domains. This piece highlights the impact of family, community, and cultural beliefs and values on an individual's development. For your initial post in this discussion, explore these influences by addressing the following questions:
How does exposure to media influence the manner in which adolescents develop?
How does exposure to peers influence development in both systems?
Using the reading from the textbook on risky behaviors, how might adolescents' influences and understanding of risk be different, based on their culture and expectations of self?
The optional reading in this unit's studies may provide additional information to support your post, if you choose to use it.
Response Guidelines
Respond to one learner by supporting his or her analysis of the two teens with additional information you have acquired outside of the textbook. Cite and reference your source with proper APA formatting. Be sure to address concepts in the post and find any similarities in your thinking as well.

In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The measurement would be done by assessing the sales of the
previous performance year and the current year. The sales is a
key indicator that the CQI is fully effective in a positive way
(Conte, 2015). A look at the feedbacks that the employees
receive from the clients play in this case plays an effective role
in this case. It is a performance measure that gives a positive
outlook which is a key matter of concern in this perspective.

The measurement of the strategy is an essential issue of
concern that needs to be appropriately addressed in this case.
The activity entails assessing the growth analysis of the
company. This is a key factor that relies on the ability of the
company to clearly implement policies that are not fully
effective. The production costs comparison which is an

based on the complication involved with the practice. The
communication progress is also an effectual matter of concern
that promotes positive business practices within the company
that needs to be embraced (Baek-Kyoo & Park, 2017). The
compensation of employees timely is also a key practice that
needs to be observed in this respective. The practice entails the
correct application of concepts to ensure that the company goals
are perfectly communicated. Updating the shareholders on the
program milestones and goals that are attained plays an
effectual part in this case as it needs to be achieved.
Organizational culture implication
The organizational learning program is likely to have an
implication in the organizational culture of the company. This is
a key measure that is widely evident with the manner in which
its is applied. Apparently, the program is likely to cases
alternation in the company. This is because there would be the
introduction of new concepts within the company that are likely

learning involves transferring retaining and creating knowledge
within the company. It facilitates the company to improve as
time progresses by in a highly beneficial manner which is an
essential issue if concern in this case. The introduction of
organization learning in the company plays an effective part in
facilitating the company to meet its goals in an appropriately
defined framework. The learning process enables the company
to reduce the wastes and errors that are involved in the design
and manufacture of automotive. Organization training would be
successful depending with the leadership role that Ford would
apply in this case. The activity entails the inclusion of the
correct procedures which are key issue of concern that needs to
be positively embraced. The management would also play an
effective part in the management of conflicts which is a key
issue of concern. The management of conflicts enables the
company to be fully effective in the implementation of the CQI
which is an important issue of concern that needs to be perfectly
addressed based on the complication involved with the practice.

Introduction
The Ford Motor Company which is known as Ford is an
American automobile enterprise that specializes in designing,
manufacturing and selling of automobiles and commercial
vehicles. The company is the second largest in the United States
and fifth globally according to global fortune. One of the
company’s objectives is to become the global leader in the
automobile industry. However, the realization of this objective

operations are assessed, improvement plans are designed and
implemented, and the results are reassessed. The approach is
applied over and over again until all the defects and errors are
eliminated in the designing, manufacturing, and supply
processes leading to improved quality, services, and sales.
Different researchers have in the past and recently came out
with quality articles that demonstrate the various ways that CQI
can be used to attain long-term goals and objectives effectively.
The fact that Ford has for long been unable to occupy the
leading position in American automobile industry means that
Ford can embrace some of these tips. The tips would assist in
making the necessary large-scale changes that would enable the
company to move to the next level of success. This literature
review article shall analyze some articles on CQI to demonstrate
how Ford can use the approach to attain the much-needed
progressive change.
Literature review
Nadeem, et al, (2013) shares deep insights about CQI approach.
In the article, the authors focus on necessary components that
must be present to make quality improvement possible. The
authors’ claims that a continuous quality improvement method
is highly effective where there is teamwork, quality leadership,
spirit of innovation and creativity, and finances to effect any
necessary change. The authors states that the business for
instance Ford in this case must start by taking into
consideration the presence of the vital components that would
make it possible for the approach to be applied in the first
place.
The article by Nadeem et al (2013); is relevant to this initiative
being addressed as well as the selected business. The more
reason is that for Ford to introduce the large-scale
organizational change, it requires to have the right components
14. in place that would be collaborated in the cause of approach
application. Failure to do so will lead to approach failure since
the right ground was not laid. This is to mean that
understanding the components necessary for a CQI and working
towards their presence is an effective way of laying the right
ground and creating a perfect environment for a large-scale
change.
An article by Silver et al, (2016); offers great tips on exactly
how to start a continuous quality improvement project. The
article considers CQI as a project because it is a continuous
practice that requires being perceived and handled like a project
for success to be realized. The more reason is that this is the
only way the business can set aside resources that would help in
making the approach implementation success. In the article,
Sliver states that the project starts by examining the current
practices and performance for the purpose of recording the
current state of the company. The team of professional should
hence review what should be done to make minimal
improvements.
The article by Silver et al, (2016); is highly relevant because it
talks about an important and critical step in the approach. The
more reason is that it is an article that described how the
initially identified vital elements would be used collaboratively
to kick off the project. This is important because making
mistakes in the early stages have ample potential to compromise
the entire effort leading to a failed mission.
Jones, (2013); is an organizational behavior management book
that deals in organizational theories, designs, and change.
Focusing on change, the author of the book claims that
organizational growth can only be obtained if the business is
positive and committed to change. The more reason is that the
world of business is ever changing and for the business to
remain relevant, it must embrace change as well. In the book,
the change process has been extensively explained as well as
how to handle change challenges for instance resistance to
change. This is a reliable piece of information that any leader
15. pursuing large scale organizational change should be aware.
The source by Jones, (2013); is hence highly relevant to the
business and initiative. The more reason is that for Ford to
embrace the CQI approach, the employees need to be introduced
to the change and be undertaken the entire change process to
promote a smooth and successful transformation. Also, in the
course of approach application, leaders and employees are
likely to be confronted by unexpected challenges. The
information in the book provides tips that can be applied to
handle any challenge.
Aquino, et al (2017) shares same insights about organizational
change from the quality improvement point of view. The authors
in the article narrow down from the wide organizational change
concept to an organizational change that focuses on improving
the quality of products and services. The source shares an
interesting and educative material where it claims that large-
scale change would not be done for the sake it but to attain a
positive output that would place the business in a more
competitive position in the market. This is a message that suits
the Ford business and the desired large scale change of
changing tactics that would see the business progress from the
second to the leading brand in the American automobile and
gradually leader in the global market (Aquino, et al 2017). The
information is relevant because it provides the Ford and its
leader’s information on how to make changes from a quality
improvement point of view and this is what the initiative is all
about.
De Groot, et al (2018); is a unique and highly relevant article
that highlight the various CQI phrases and the specific quality
improvement strategies that should be applied to attain
desirable organizational change. In the article, the authors claim
that CQI entails a continuous repetition of the same production
process until the desired quality levels have been attained. It
entails reviewing the first stage which is the previous practices
that were applied in the last production to detect errors and
areas of weakness. It is also the stage in which professionals
16. need to be invited to share their insights and employees
undertaken intensive training.
The second phase entails coming together to come up with
creative ideas that should be implemented. These are ideas that
can be incorporated into initial practices to make them better or
have the initial practices scrubbed off and new practices
implemented. The third phase entails working used the
improvised or new strategies and reviewing the production
process to notice the changes. The source by de Groot et al
(2018); is a relevant one as per the initiative under discussion.
The more reason is that it identifies the various quality
improvement strategies that should be embraced in all CQI
phases until desired results are obtained.
The last source is that by Altmiller, (2012); and wraps off by
addressing the importance of issuing feedback as the only way
to make CQI approach to have the right momentum. In the
article, the author claims that when feedback at the end of the
process is issued, it becomes possible to detect improvement or
areas of weakness that would need improvement. The source is
relevant because the CQI approach heftily relies on feedback
from the previous process in order to make the necessary
changes in the current process. This is to mean that Ford
company employees working in all units must give feedbacks
after they complete their tasks and performance because it is
from these feedbacks that new resolutions to be implemented
would be created.
