This document summarizes a proposal by Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) to realize the growth potential of North-East India. The proposal was created by a team of 5 students from Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur. The team identified several challenges facing North-East India including underdeveloped states despite vast potential, unskilled workforce, unrealized youth potential, and psychological barriers. Their proposed solutions focus on agro-industry development, realizing workforce potential through new training institutions, and promoting cultural recognition through annual cultural festivals. The team outlines implementation plans, challenges, and expected positive impacts of their proposal.

In the era of globalization, entrepreneurship development in the rural context is a challenge. According to 2011 Census 68.84% people are living in rural areas of India. People in rural areas suffer with unemployment, poor infrastructure facilities which may be solved with the development of the rural entrepreneurs. “Rural Entrepreneurship can be defined as entrepreneurship emerging at village level which can take place in a variety of fields of endeavor such as business, industry, agriculture and acts as a potent factor for economic development”. But, these rural entrepreneurs are suffering with various problems like fear of risk, lack of finance, illiteracy, and competition from the urban entrepreneurs. Rural entrepreneurs increase the standard of living and purchasing power of the people by offering employment opportunity to the people in villages. This paper is an attempt to understand the problems and challenges for rural entrepreneurship in the context of rural development in India and possible suggestions to overcome the problems.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

India being the 2nd largest tea producer in world
Assam accounts for 55%
1/6th of the tea production of world.
The annual turnover of the tea industry is about
Rs.1,700 crores and it has earned more than
Rs.600 crores as foreign exchange.
Tea industry has contributed substantially to the
economy of Assam.
About 17 percent of the worker of Assam are
engaged in tea industry.
Bamboo cultivation in north east states have
huge scope as 2/3rd of total national cover.
Industrial processing can cover all varieties of

• In spite of having high literacy rate than national average, they have high drop averaging 50% rates indicating lack of proper
