Projects !!
• Projects have been very important part of curriculum.
• Through various projects students try to learn various practical
aspects of their course/branch curriculum.
• Through the projects, the students are exposed to something
similar, they will face in the Industry.
• Projects, teach the students a systematic procedure to tackle a
problem and come with one of several possible solutions.
• Allow the students to think out of box and come up with
innovative ideas and translate those ideas into innovative
solutions.
• NEP recommends the students to have skills, can be used for
solving real life problems.
Internships !!
• Will expose the students to Industrial environment, which
cannot be simulated in the classroom and hence creating
competent professionals for the Industry.
• Provide possible opportunities to learn, understand and
sharpen the real time technical / managerial skills required at
the job
• Exposure to the current technological developments relevant to
the subject area of the training
• Experience gained from the Industrial Internship in classroom
will be used in classroom discussions.
• Gain experience in writing technical reports /projects
• Expose the students to future employers and many more.
Evaluation of Projects /
Internships using Rubrics
• Rubrics
• Rubrics means “a scoring guide used to evaluate the quality of
students’ constructed responses”.
• It is set of criteria for grading assignments and various other
student works. Rubrics usually contain evaluative criteria, quality
definitions for those criteria at particular levels of achievement,
and a scoring strategy. (Popham, James, October 1997)
