EXPANSIONS
Our product ranges were hugely developed throughout 2021, with
an array of new products added across our three brands. From the
Optimaxx Wallbite masonry screws to the TRACER ProScribe. With
even more exciting new products lined up throughout 2022, we
are proud be leading the market through innovation and offer an
extensive range of high-quality products that tradespeople love!
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING
We are very pleased to announce we will be attending the
International Hardware Fair Cologne in March 2022. This exhibition
allows exhibitors from 55 countries to showcase their innovations
and trends in the hard goods industry. From tools to joining
technology, the exhibition is the largest worldwide with 165,000
square metres of exhibition space to showcase and explore.
Taking place with a mixture of physical and virtual experiences, this
exhibition is widely accessible. We will be exhibiting all three brands
and will be speaking with new and existing partners across the UK,
Europe and globally. Along with discussing new brand and product
developments.

WELCOME BACK!
With the new year fully underway, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on the previous year and share our top achievements from 2021. We
would also like to express our gratitude to you as we have you to thank for our outstanding results and achievements over the years and we
look forward to the year ahead with you.
With the successful opening of ROYD’s new National Distribution Centre, we are very pleased to continue expanding the company and
introduce you to our new warehouse team. This is a fantastic development for ROYD, and it ensures we can improve and guarantee the
quality of service we are able to offer all our customers going forward.
WAREHOUSE NEW STARTERS
OPTIMAXX GROWTH
Optimaxx has become one of our fastest growing brands,
with ground-breaking results. We are very proud to have
added near 200 new stockists in 2021, bringing our
total number of Optimaxx stockists to almost 1000.
At the same time, Optimaxx orders more than
doubled in 2021 with a total of 8500 orders
compared to 3500 in 2020. Plus, with
Optimaxx sales having grown by 200%
in 2021 compared to 2020, we are
thrilled to have sold a total of 250
million Optimaxx wood screws!
This staggering level of growth
demonstrates the popularity
of the product and how well
the range is selling for our
distributors.
In the later months of 2021, we successfully launched ROYD’s new National Distribution Centre. This was a huge development for ROYD
as continuing rapid growth and the need to service an increasing number of the largest names in the industry, meant it was necessary
for us to open our own distribution centre. Furthermore, this has allowed us to improve and guarantee the quality of service we are able
to offer all our customers, and hold to our ‘next day delivery guarantee’.

2021 has, need I say it, proved an extremely challenging year in this
sector with supply problems, high costs of freight and rising costs of
raw materials.
Through it all ROYD have come out stronger and we are increasing
our distributor support to help you become more profitable. For
example, we have invested a huge amount into stock to keep our

decking screws, the newest addition to the decking range.
Designed for maximum performance in composite, timber and
hardwood decking, these screws feature a range of excellent
application benefits.
Made from A2-304 stainless steel, these screws are rust
resistant to ensure the completed deck stands the time of
time. With an arrow shaped point, these screws provide a
fast start without predrilling whilst minimising the risk of
splintering.
With serrations on the lower thread, this enables a
quick and safe fastening. Along with a non-threaded
shank to allow two materials to be pulled tightly
together while the upper thread locks the deck
board securely. Plus, the cylindrical head is designed
for fixing into the groove of the deck board, ensuring
a secure fit. Optimaxx is fast becoming the preferred

The Optimaxx decking screws provide the ultimate performance
in timber and hardwood that offers a range of unique benefits.
Complete with a unique Maxxtect coating, Optimaxx decking
screws offer a lifetime guarantee against corrosion.
The screw includes a consistent self-drill slash point which gives
you an immediate start into all timber, including hardwood. Above
this self-drill point is a sharp serrated saw-tooth formation of six
threads which enables a fast penetration without a pilot hole, even
when working close to the edge.
With a reduced diameter head, the Optimaxx decking screws will
always fit perfectly within the grooves, consequently preventing
damage to the profile. On the underside of the screw head are
12 slots cut directly into it, providing effective countersinking
without the need to counterbore. This unique feature also helps to
eliminate damage to the surface being worked on.

supply chains, we are very thankful for the expertise we have in
this field. We faced many challenges in 2021 which we successfully
overcame, and we are now in the strongest position we have ever
been in with guaranteed supply to some of the biggest names in
the industry.

CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
At the start of 2021 we had a goal to reduce the plastic content
of our packaging and we quickly realised we needed to be doing
more than reduce. As a result, we have made huge efforts to
eradicate plastic from our packaging! To this end we are pleased
to have launched our Zero100 campaign with a massively
ambitious target of having zero single-use plastic and 100%
recyclable packaging across all our ranges by the end of 2022.
This is a huge shift from standard packaging, and we look forward
to updating you on this very soon!

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
Coming soon to the TRACER range is the latest thickness
measuring tool – the TRACER ProGauge.
This tool is designed to allow measurement of multiple materials
without the need for removal, including double and single glazing
units, wood, metal and more. The tool features both imperial and
metric measurements to suit all requirements and is precisely
machined from solid aluminium. With a 120mm opening, the tool
is supplied in a compact carry case to provide protection on site
and on the go.

The latest product available in the TRACER range is the
Mitre Tool. This allows for perfect measuring and marking
on a wide range of three-dimensional work pieces due to its
angled shape. Suitable for timber and pipework, this tool is
designed to greatly simplify the measuring and marking of a
whole range of dimensions, as well as offering a number of
additional features.
The tool not only has multiple integrated rulers and angle
scales for quick and easy measuring and marking. But also
