6. PRODUCTION FACILITIES
Through its 13 production facilities and distribution centers located
strategically in Mexico, Central America and Spain, Grupo Zapata
complies with its objective of becoming the first business group of its
type in Mexico, besides being close to customers through important
communication infrastructure that provide a timely delivery of the
products.
The Group’s philosophy is to maintain direct and permanent
communication with our customers to respond and meet their quality
expectations.

7. US EXPORT PRODUCTION FACILITIES
IMESA
Located outside of Mexico City, 30 minutes north, on the main highway
to Queretaro, has two facilities in its complex, IMESA 1 process all the
steel and tin plate for all the Grupo Zapata’s plants, including cutting
and printing process, we also have our steel pail production line which
runs tight head and open top pails from 3 gallons up to 6 gallons
capacity in several different UN rates.
IMESA 2 is located at the same complex mentioned above, just across
the street. In this specific plant we manufacture several products such
as

Lubricant and additives cans
Sanitary ends
Full open ends (603)
We also process all the sanitary cans lids for all the Grupo Zapata’s
plants.

10. INNOVATIONS

Hexachrome System & CTP.
− Grupo Zapata has acquired a new 6 colors printing press for metal
sheets, which is capable to run up to 9,000 sheets per hour. This
press incorporates the latest metal decoration and printing
technology increasing the color gamut to over 95% by adding green
and orange to the CYMK process, and also the use of stochastic
screening.
− A CTP equipment to support the operation of this line is already
installed at the same plant.
− High Speed Coater.


Paint Square Can
− Grupo Zapata within its product lines handles square tins for paint
products, these tins help to have one better image in shelf, since the
flat surface and tapered sides, allows to improve the visual impact, in
addition to a great differentiation versus the packages for paint in the
market.


Screw caps For Wine
− This closure system is a trend that is currently imposed worldwide, is
a rotary locking security seal, which consists of an aluminum alloy
with round threads and a spongy lining of multiple layers. The
compression of the coating on the glass allows for neutral and
hermetic sealing.

the final product, and designs a work program together with customers to assure
improvements.
