Roy Ascott is a pioneering British artist who worked with interactive computer art, cybernetic art, and telematic art since the 1960s. He helped establish radical new media art programs at Ealing Art College in London and other schools. Ascott has exhibited widely internationally and published over 170 academic papers on art and new media. He is the founding president of the Planetary Collegium research center and has held professorships focused on technology and art.
