This document summarizes discussions from a 2013 Rotary International convention session on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) programs. The session had two objectives: to promote RYLA awareness among district governors and discuss expanding programs beyond individual districts. Presenters discussed a successful Japanese model of an annual youth leadership forum involving multiple districts. They also described a new advanced 5-day RYLA in Connecticut focusing on leadership development, social entrepreneurship, and partnerships with outside organizations. Attendees then shared ideas in group discussions on promoting inter-district RYLA involvement and alumni engagement.
