Piping sample report

2. Significant coating failure and corrosion were found throughout the sub-headers, with wall loss up to 0.020 inches in some areas. U-bolts were also near failure due to corrosion.
3. Recommended repairs included removing corrosion from supports, installing single point contacts, replacing bolts, and cleaning and recoating piping to prevent further corrosion. Ultrasonic thickness readings were above minimums.

Quality control involves measuring quality characteristics of products and comparing them to standards to identify any deviations. Quality assurance provides confidence that quality achieved meets standards. Key quality documents include the quality assurance plan (QAP), welding procedure specification (WPS), and erection welding schedule (EWS). The QAP outlines inspection stages while the WPS defines welding parameters and the EWS details welding and non-destructive testing requirements. Non-destructive testing methods like radiography, ultrasonic testing, liquid penetrant testing, and magnetic particle inspection are used to identify flaws without damaging materials. Proper preheating, post heating, and post weld heat treatment are important to reduce welding defects and residual stresses.

1) A test report from SGS outlines results from testing a sample submitted by AGFA IMAGING (SHENZHEN) CO.,LTD. referred to as AIYINDA 703.
2) Testing was conducted between December 24th to 28th 2013 and included analyzing for substances restricted by the RoHS Directive and certain phthalates.
3) Results showed the sample contained 4 ppm of lead and was compliant with limits for cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBBs, PBDEs, and phthalates like DEHP and BBP.
