The latest annual report on this series raises the prediction to 40% compound annual growth. Mobile is just a small part of the overall growth in data, vastly overshadowed by the even more rapid growth in consumer Internet and TV. Now not all of that growth will require spectrum, but in countries like the US, where over half the population connects to the Internet wirelessly, much of it will require spectrum.
