The Story of #Inbound15
Once upon a time, getting out your message and persuading others was mostly
about shouting loud, being pushy, and exploiting information asymmetry. Every day,
marketers would try to interrupt us, shove ads in our faces, and hope we were too
dumb to fight back. One day, a few pioneers decided to change the game. Because
of that, ideas like content marketing, permission marketing, and just plain being of
service to others began to spread. Because of that, hundreds, then thousands, of
people began to gather each year at INBOUND to learn, connect, and sometimes
to amaze. Until finally, INBOUND 2015 drew to a close, and the people assembled -
- inspired by Brene Brown, instructed by Seth Godin, and uh, inflamed by Amy
Schumer-- took a deep breath, high fived each other and left Boston ready to
