This document outlines a project in Israel to develop a national self-advocacy and leadership group for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The project aims to promote quality of life and independence through self-advocacy and leadership. Goals include establishing local self-advocacy groups, providing skills training to members, and creating a national leadership group to influence policy change. The leadership group will prepare position papers, participate in committees and forums, and advocate for equal rights in society.
