Reigate College
Hazard Who is at risk? Risk Level Control measures
The filming day is very long and
lasts from about 9am-4pm. Cast
and crew could get very worn out
and tired.
The cast and crew Medium Ensuring short breaks after long periods of
w orking, adequate w ater breaks and making sure
food is consumed at appropriate times of the day
to reduce fatigue.
Litter used for any props in
filming (e.g. food w rappers,
drinks bottles) could be left,
w hich w ould cause
littering/environmental damage.
The environment High Make sure that a little bag is carried w ith us to
collect any rubbish w e use, and/or ensure all
w aste is disposed of in a bin to prevent littering.Whilst filming w e could be loud
and accidentally disrupt
surrounding classes or people
w orking.
The public, staff and students Medium Remain professional and concentrated at all times
to ensure w e stay at an acceptable level; also,
w arn any surrounding classrooms if w e are
planning to be loud so they are aw are of this.
If there has been rain the day
before, surfaces around college
may be slippery, especially if
people have w alked through
multiple times or on the grassy
areas, so people may slip over.
Cast and crew Low We w illhave to be cautious w hen w e are w alking
on surfaces that could be deemed slip hazards so
that w e do not slip over; do not run through these
surfaces either.
Whilst moving around college
and Castlefield, there are stairs
that w e could trip and fall dow n,
and any raised surfaces could
cause us to trip w hilst w e w ere
focusing on the camera.
Cast and crew Low Before filming in each place, or during the location
recce, checkout any hazards that could cause us
to trip so w e are careful. Do not use the camera
w hen descending stairs to avoid distraction and
accident.
Lack of management control
could lead to disorganisation,
w here ideas are not being
communicated properly and lead
to arguments/unsuccessful
filming
Cast and crew , our project Low As a group, w e w ill fully plan every aspect of the
day so that w e are prepared. We also need to
communicate w ell and share ideas and roles to
w ork smoothly, and adapt to any difficulties w e
occur in order to manage the filming w ell.
