Editor's Notes
So we push as much as possible through ezproxy. This includes EDS and SFX contentRISE approach is to use the ezprpxy data as Base layer of data comes from the ezproxylogfilesWe add data about which course students are studyingWe add search information from the RISE interfacesImprove data by sending queries to EDS and SFX
Blue – ezproxylogfilesGreen – added from internal data matchingGrey – added from searchesRed – from EDS and SFX
We have most data for course recommendations but only about six months worth – RISE gives us a reason to keep the data longer than we would otherwise related resources, we need more data – hypothesis would be that the recommendations improve the more data the recommendations engine sees
Undergraduates seem happy to have recommendations based on what other undergrads are looking atPostgrads want recommendations with an academic seal of approval
But we will review the EDINA data release to see if we need to modify to make it more compatible
