The Rio Grande Valley Traffic Safety Coalition was established in 2005 with a mission to save lives and prevent injuries from motor vehicle crashes. The coalition works to change public behavior and perceptions of traffic safety through engineering, enforcement, education and other efforts. It uses data and resources to identify traffic safety issues, plan initiatives, and evaluate results. The coalition consists of members from various counties in the Rio Grande Valley and welcomes partners from different sectors to help make transforming traffic safety a high priority.
