Design and Development of Mechanism for Four Stroke Four Revolution I.C. EnginePranit Khot
The major losses contributing are engine cooling and exhaust losses. There is scope to minimize losses which are occurring due to exhaust. The loss can be minimized by further expansion of exhaust gases through 1800 of crank revolution. By which the gases will expand and due to this expansion there will be additional work benefit. For this purpose, four stroke four revolution mechanism is required. This can be achieved by modifying current slider crank mechanism with double connecting rod arrangement
Advanced Materials International Forum, Bari 18-19 settembre, conferenza internazionale dedicata ai materiali avanzati e alle loro possibili applicazioni nei settori industriali, con un focus particolare sui trasporti (aerospazio, automotive, navale e cantieristico).
Changing industry requirements often means your plant cannot source a prefabricated product. Industries such as automotive, feed and grain, marine and mining need custom fabricated metal transfer carts and totes. Follow this six-step custom fabrication process and learn how Southern Metal Fabrication made to spec indexer carts, multi-purpose carts, repair carts and bumper carts for an automotive manufacturing plant.

Heavy industrial ductwork fabrication is a type of air pollution control product. It's made with thick steel plates and requires a custom order. You can't buy a prefabricated product. What you need is custom fabricated ducts. Learn more about how the ductwork fabrication process works and the industries served.
When you need a metal bin, silo or tank manufactured to exact specifications, you can’t source a prefabricated product. What you need is custom metal fabrication. Learn the six-step process we follow at Southern Metal Fabricators and how we create custom-fabricated stainless steel bins, carbon steel tanks and aluminum silos.
Development of a topological optimised Hinge Arm through combination of ALM- ...Altair
Since 1974 TITAL GmbH manufactures high quality castings from aluminium and titanium alloys solely according to the lost wax process, mainly for the aerospace industry. The advantage of this process, besides its high dimensional accuracy and excellent material consistency, is the optimised use of material as this process enables the implementation of complex geometries such as undercuts etc. Because of this, topological optimised designs can be realised with nearly no limitations. This is possible because of the use of lost patterns and lost molds. For prototypes and small production batches such patterns are built using ALM-processes as SLS- or SLA-parts. The combination of topology optimisation, generative manufactured RP-models and the investment casting process enables the designer to realise operational prototypes at maximum flexibility without loss of quality. Further advantages of this combination are the feasible part sizes, as well as the unrestricted usability of such parts because of the well-established and approved processes. As a case study the development of the Hinge Arm for the Chinese passenger aircraft COMAC C919 will be presented, which has been topological optimised with the support of Altair Engineering GmbH in Munich (Unterschleißheim).

Bibliotheekportalen nieuwe ontwikkelingen (IAZ, 18 september 2015)Bibnet vzw

Bi-metal machining presents challenges with regard to the performance requirements of the metalworking fluid used. Common bi-metal operations include face milling of aluminum engine blocks containing a ferrous metal cylinder sleeve and reaming of engine crankshaft bores comprised of aluminum paired with a ferrous metal bearing cap. While the mechanical, thermal and wear properties of the two dissimilar metals serve to fulfill specific design features, the simultaneous machining of the two dissimilar metals often give rise to problems with machined surface finish, elevated cutting forces, machined part dimensions, as well as accelerated tool wear. This session will discuss the machining properties of bi-metal parts, methods useful for studying machinability and fluid performance, as well as insight into the compositional and property features of metalworking fluids best suited for use in such operations.
Primary topics:
a. Machining challenges associated with machining dissimilar metals
b. Machining test conditions useful for studying metalworking fluid performance in aluminum engine block deck face milling
c. Machining conditions useful for studying metal working fluid performance in bi-metal crank bore reaming
d. Fluid requirements necessary for effective bi-metal machining performance

Rautomead technology for continuous casting of oxygen free copper, copper-mag...Rautomead Limited
Rautomead Technology for Continuous Casting of Oxygen-free Copper, Copper-magnesium and Copper Conductor Alloys
We offer copper continuous casting technology and a range of copper wire and cable continuous casting machines.
The copper rod continuous casting machines are specifically designed for the processing of electrolytically-refined grade 'A' copper feedstock to produce 8.0mm diameter wire rods. They may be configured to produce rod up to 22.0mm diameter if required. The machines are intended to be operated for long periods of uninterrupted production of continuous cast copper wire rod.
RS machines are configured as integrated melting, holding and casting units, featuring graphite crucibles, protected in an inert gas atmosphere with high intensity graphite resistance heating.
RDG machines feature large Induction furnace technology. Machines are either single furnace integrated melting and casting or dual furnace with cathode melter feeding a holding furnace, depending on production output.
continuous casting machines for copper wire & cable operating costs
Rautomead have paid great attention to minimising the cost of operating the machine. Furnaces are totally enclosed and built up using high performance insulations to achieve minimum economic heat loss. Casting dies are inexpensive and may be changed individually
RS 3000 CuMg machine with graphite crucible technology is ideally suited for production of high quality copper magnesium alloy wire rod.
The graphite crucible removes oxygen from cathode feedstock which minimises losses of the magnesium alloying element.
Technology available for high magnesium content (0.4 – 0.6% Mg) alloy rod for use in the manufacture of overhead contact wires and cables for high speed trains, also for low magnesium content (0.1 -0.2% Mg) alloy rod for use in the manufacture of small diameter automotive data communication cables.
Rautomead technology is being used by suppliers of CuMg catenary contact wires on European High Speed train lines.
The massive construction project in progress in China to build 15,000 – 20,000km of new high speed train track features CuMg contact wires made from rods produced on Rautomead technology installed at cable factories around China.
