3. BED-STUY CONDO
LOCATION: Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn NY
N. of UNITS: 14
STATUS: under construction
This new development is located in an up-and-coming part of Brooklyn defined by residential buildings built between the 1930s and 70s.
Inspired by the surrounding urban language, the facade seeks a dialogue with both the brick facades of the nearby condo buildings and the vinyl
siding of the single-family townhouses opposite, suggesting a similar aesthetic while using materials that are more in touch with the industrial past
of the area (dark bricks, metal panels).
The interiors, marketed towards young couples and families, use simple and modern material palettes that convey a warm yet contemporary
look.

5. WILLIAMSBURG CONDO
LOCATION: Williamsburg, Brooklyn NY
N. of UNITS: 9
STATUS: under construction
The building aims to recall Williamsburg’s lost industrial look while maintaining the appeal of current design aesthetics.
The 9 units are divided into different sizes to appeal to a broader market (studios, 1- & 2-bedrooms, duplex apartments, penthouse).
The interiors show a mix between the clean lines of moden design trends and the roughness of steel and reclaimed wood,.
7. FLATIRON APARTMENT
LOCATION: Flatiron, Manhattan NY
SIZE: 600 SF (56 m2
)
STATUS: completed - 2013
The goal for this project was to transform a small studio in a seemingly larger one-bedroom without changing the original footprint.
The living area and the bedroom are divided by a single thick wall. A floor-to-ceiling sliding pocket door enables the client to
transform the perceived size of the apartment in seconds.
The kitchen and bathroom are enclosed in a separate volume that detaches itself from the rest of the space, both physically and
visually.

9. SOHO APARTMENT
LOCATION: SoHo, Manhattan NY
SIZE: 2000 SF (186 m2
)
STATUS: completed - 2014
In order to best showcase the client’s art collection, this renovation proposes a hybrid between a living space and an art gallery.
The entrance door leads to a winding corridor that doubles as exhibition space before finally leading to an open living area, where
the stone kitchen island represents the collection’s final and crowning piece.
A central fireplace functions as a permeable divider between kitchen and living area.
Bathrooms and bedrooms are located so as not to interrupt the flow of the space.
12. TECH COMPANY HQ OFFICES - PHASE 3
LOCATION: Chelsea, Manhattan NY
SIZE: 3500 SF (325 m2
)
STATUS: completed - 2014
The third (and largest) installment of these tech company offices is played around a series of floating cubes that house conference
rooms and meeting areas.
The rest of the open-floor layout is occupied by a large cafeteria connected to the main working area, and a small kitchen located
near the welcome desk.
The use of warm tones and reclaimed barn siding wood counterbalances the stark, industrial surroundings, allowing for a more
relaxed yet focused working environment.

14. LOCATION: Flatiron, Manhattan NY
SIZE: 2250 SF (209 m2
)
STATUS: completed - 2012
The goal for this project was the creation of an office that combined a series of small and intimate office areas with a sense of visual
openness throughout.
The design approach started from the intention of creating an articulated and dynamic space through the use of simple yet effective
elements.
The designed space aims to create an stimulating and inspiring environment without deviating from a professional image.

16. LOCATION: Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan NY
SIZE: 605 SF (56 m2
)
STATUS: preliminary design
This project was inspired by the traditional elements of the art of Sicilian pastry-making,which it sought to blend with a contemporary
NYC atmosphere.
By placing the prep area in close proximity with the sales area, the design aimed to create a close connection between customer and
chefs, enhancing the intimacy of the experience.
The blend of traditional and contemporary materials was chosen to create a casual but memorable space.
A neutral color palette was balanced by bright colors in the photographic wall art and traditional ceramic objects on display.

PROJECT ANALYSIS
LOCATION: Helsinki, FI Located on the main city’s harbour between the city center and an elevated park, the proposed location for the new Guggenheim
Helsinki called for a deep analysis of the correlation between landscape, urban texture and human interaction.
A variety of existing conditions and urban elements came together in deciding the shape and aesthetic of the building, which poses
as a new stone fortress at the harbour’s mouth.
On the inside, the musuem unravels itself along a continuous path, starting with a monolithic ramp that connects the ground floor to
the sculpture garden above, then to the entrance to the musuem proper.
The main idea behind the project was to create an “in-between” space that is both private and public, one that allows both tourists
and locals to enjoy the musuem and its exhibits.

CONCEPTUAL DIAGRAMS
20. LOCATION: NewYork City, NY The Superskyscraper competition called for the design of a supertall skyscraper at the corner of 125th St and Broadway in New
York City.
The project’s core is a public, vertical park that wraps around the lower third of the tower, creating a community space elevated from
the road and connected to the surrounding public transportation.Within this green platform, community spaces reach out to the
local population in order to create a cultural mix.
The tower itself is divided between two distinct functions: affordable housing on the lower levels with a hotel on the upper ones.
The hotel is organized so as to appeal to a wide variety of clients: hostel-like rooms can be found alongside high-end luxury suites.
The vertical park insinuates itself within the tower, creating pockets of public and semi-
public spaces and allowing for spectacular views of the city.
