RHYTHM AND VINES 29th December - 1st January WAIOHIKA ESTATE, GISBORNE BW SUMMER FESTIVAL 27th December - 1 January WAIKANAE BEACH, GISBORNE • Rhythm & Vines and BW Summer Festival, now entering their 12th and 11th years of operation have become an integral part of the New Year’s period in Gisborne.! ! • Collectively these Events engage 25,000 people directly (festival attendees and staff) each year with the vast majority of festival attendees coming from outside of the Gisborne region.! ! • The Events contribute an estimated $15m from outside the region to the local economy.! ! • For many it is their first ever visit to Gisborne with the largest age profile being in the 18 to 22 range.! ! • In excess of $5,000,000 is spent on producing R&V and BW each year.
