OUR TECHNOLOGY
WHO WE ARE
Robofab is located in Singapore and operates
a wholly owned fabrication facility situated
approximately 15km south of Singapore in a Free
Trade Zone on Batam Island. Our philosophy is to
safely provide high quality steel cut, holed, coped
and marked with our custom built robotic coping line.
We also provide high quality fabrication, shipping
and erection services to be a complete end to end
provider of structural steel.
With fast turn-arounds and superior level of customer
service, we pride ourselves on operating to our
certified ISO 9001:2008 management standards.
The heart of the Robofab system is our implementation of a 2.4m reach ABB robotic arm capable
of accurately marking and cutting a wide range of steel profiles and plate.The Robofab system is
driven entirely off your CAD files, which means no costly robot programming, and extremely fast
turn-around.
To feed the robot we have developed and integrated a material conveyance feature which
allows stock lengths to be stored in sequence and called up and processed when
required based on the nesting sequence for the particular project.
Due to our technological advances, changing from cutting a beam to a pipe
profile can be achieved in seconds not minutes. In addition, changing the
profile type, a change in size does not require additional programming
from the operator or the robotic system, we just verify the size and
profile is correct and the production continues.
Our fully integrated system will automatically adjust to
compensate for ovate pipes, or structural members that are
distorted, ensuring the cutting torch is maintained at the
optimal distance away from the work piece at all times
maintaining the weld ready cut quality.
