The document discusses the prophecy in Revelation 13 about the Beast and his apparent death and resurrection. It suggests that this may be a counterfeit of Jesus' death and resurrection done by Satan to deceive people into worshipping the Beast. Several Bible verses are presented arguing that the Beast will blaspheme God and persecute Christians, but believers should remain faithful even through suffering, as their names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

There is only one thing worse than our being deceived by someone, that is, deceiving ourselves. We deceive ourselves when we hear the word of God but do not obey. We deceive ourselves when we think we can associate with sinners and it not affect us. We deceive ourselves when we we say we have no sin. We deceive ourselves when we think our sin is not our fault. We deceive ourselves when we think too highly of ourselves. We deceive ourselves when we defile the temple of God. We deceive ourselves when we think we are wise in this age. We deceive ourselves when we do not control our tongue. We deceive ourselves when we think we can sow one thing and reap another. We deceive ourselves when we can be unrighteous and still make it to heaven.

Renewed in Grace
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Exploring the Mindfulness Understanding Its Benefits.pptxMartaLoveguard
Slide 1: Title: Exploring the Mindfulness: Understanding Its Benefits
Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.
Slide 3: Benefits of Mindfulness for Mental Well-being
Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, improving overall quality of life.
Mindfulness increases awareness of our emotions and teaches us to manage them better, leading to improved mood.
Regular mindfulness practice can improve our ability to concentrate and focus our attention on the present moment.
Slide 4: Benefits of Mindfulness for Physical Health
Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can contribute to lowering blood pressure, which is beneficial for heart health.
Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can strengthen the immune system, aiding the body in fighting infections.
Mindfulness may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing stress and improving overall lifestyle habits.
Slide 5: Impact of Mindfulness on Relationships
Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.
Practicing mindful walking and eating involves consciously focusing on each step or bite, with full attention to sensory experiences.
Slide 7: Incorporating Mindfulness into Daily Life
You can practice mindfulness in everyday activities such as washing dishes or taking a walk in the park.
Adding mindfulness practice to daily routines can help increase awareness and presence.
Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our needs and better manage our time, leading to balance and harmony in life.
Slide 8: Summary: Embracing Mindfulness for Full Living
Mindfulness can bring numerous benefits for physical and mental health.
Regular mindfulness practice can help achieve a fuller and more satisfying life.
Mindfulness has the power to change our perspective and way of perceiving the world, leading to deeper se
2. • (3) I saw one of his heads as if it had been
slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the
whole earth was amazed and followed after the
beast;
3. • Revelation 17:9-11 "Here is the mind which has
wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on
which the woman sits, (10) and they are seven
kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet
come; and when he comes, he must remain a little
while. (11) "The beast which was and is not, is
himself also an eighth and is one of the seven, and
he goes to destruction.
4. • “Therefore, it seems best to take the “deadly
wound that was healed” of 13:3, as with the
words, “was, is not, and is about to come”
(Rev.17:8 &11) to refer to the fall and restoration
of the Roman Empire in its imperial form.”
J Hampton Keathley
5. • However, it is likely that Satan will bring off an
apparent death and resurrection of this man of
lawlessness, the leader of the empire, to
correspond with the restoration of the imperial
form of the Roman Empire. This will cause the
world to marvel and follow after the beast and
accept his dictatorship as the emperor (cf. 13:3-4;
17:8). J Hampton Keathley

• John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the

9. • “The translations “as if it had been slain” (NASB)
or “seemed to have had a fatal wound” suggest
either an apparent death (near death) but did not
really die. Literally the Greek says, “as slain unto
death.” There is really no “if” here. Some have
argued that the “if” implies this is only an
apparent death. Though I do not believe the beast
will literally die and be brought back to life, we
should note the exact same words are used of the
Lord in Revelation 5:6 and certainly the Lord really
died.
10. • Revelation 5:6 And I saw between the throne (with
the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb
standing, as if slain,
11. • If the leader is involved here, the key may be
found in the word “slain” which is sphazo„, “to
slay, slaughter.” It was a sacrificial term used of the
animals of sacrifice. The use of this word indicates
that the deadly wound will be designed to be like
the slaying of the Lamb; it will be designed to
imitate the death of Christ, if not in method, at
least in purpose or function. So the use of this
word doesn’t really prove it was a real death, only
an apparent death. It suggests it was part of
Satan’s strategy to imitate Christ’s death and
resurrection.” J Hampton Keathley
12. • 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 that is, the one whose
coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with
all power and signs and false wonders, (10) and
with all the deception of wickedness for those who
perish, because they did not receive the love of the
truth so as to be saved.
13. • “So, more than likely this is a counterfeit, a
supreme deception, and an attempt to imitate the
resurrection of Jesus Christ in correspondence with
the revival of the imperial form of Rome in order
to gain the worship of the world.”
