Paul hopes to send Timothy to the Philippians soon. Timothy genuinely cares for their welfare and has proven himself like a son to Paul in preaching the gospel. Paul has confidence that he too will visit the Philippians soon once he knows what will happen with his situation. Timothy has been with Paul for 10 years and is greatly loved by him. Paul sends Timothy because he genuinely cares for people, is focused on God's kingdom, and has proven himself in ministry.
