o Successfully completed long test after manufacturing complete engine in 2 phases Ph-IV in 2011and Ph-V in
2013 of AL31FP engine for Sukhoi 30MKI aircraft as a part of 140 aircraft delivery program.
o Proved out special process such as Isothermal forming, Pneumothermo forming, Induction and radiation
heating, Manned chamber welding, Vacuum brazing with rotation, Flame coating, Plasma coating and
detonation coating used for manufacturing of AL31FP engine.
o Established and streamlined production over 2100 components and assemblies of AL31FP engine.
o Successfully established Repair and Overhaul facilities of AL31FP engine for 50 engines per annum.
• Implemented lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, TPM, and SMED in various stages of production.
• Minimized rejection of about 60 components from 6.5% to 0.2% using six-sigma techniques.
• Modified/reworked 300 jigs, fixtures, die to improve productivity and quality.
• Carried out TPM of 12 machines in shop floor to minimize down time.
• Modified 40T, 650T hydraulic press, Riveting machine, sand blasting machine to improve productivity.
• Settled SMH for more than 1500 engine components based on time study.
