PROFILE A dependable, self-motivated Electrical Engineer seeking an opportunity to apply my
technical and leadership skills as a Senior Electrical/Hardware Engineer. Regarded
by management and co-workers as possessing strengths in areas of reliability, project
ownership, effective team skills, versatility, documentation skills, well organized,
perseverance, and positive attitude. Excellent written and communication skills with
a commitment to growth.
EXPERIENCE SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Lockheed Martin; Syracuse NY 20014—Present
ď‚· Component Engineer in the Design Integrity Engineering Department where I supported
many Radar programs on DMSMS reviews. Reviewed requested parts for each program
based on program requirements and determined whether or not the part could be used.
ď‚· Team lead for a Part Standardization project where I was responsible for adding/reviewing
new commodities and working with our product data management systemteam. I was also
the CAM on the project where I managed a $400k yearly budget on the schedule along with
allocating resources to given tasks with the necessary labor hours required to complete the
task over the course of 3 years. This also involved creating metric charts to upper
management on the status ofthe project as well as the data on how programs are
performing with the use of standard parts across MST. This produced a cost avoidance of
over $3M per year by the use of standard parts.
DESIGN ENGINEER
Lockheed Martin; Syracuse NY 20012—2014
ď‚· Zuken tools support admin for CR-5000, E3, and DS2. Responsible for providing
support to users with issues regarding the CAD tool as well as performing upgrades
when necessary across LM MST. Understanding the administrative side of the tool
was necessary in performing many of the tasks when it came to issues or problems
in using or operating the tool. Maintained cost and schedule for relevant upgrades.
ď‚· Support admin for the Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) system in
creating new user accounts, creating and performing tests within a test
environment, and created process guides.
ď‚· Production support for severalundersea programs. Responsible for testing,
troubleshooting, and diagnosing defective signal conditioning cards. Designed a
test board to test 10 cards per board that populated 42 on a cart. This allowed the
board house to test 420 cards during burn-in and allow them to screen potential
cards that failed before being shipped to us.
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Lockheed Martin; Syracuse NY 2004-2012
ď‚· Supporting a work share assignment with other LM sites on an Airborne Radar
System Program. Responsible Individual for performing the upgrade of several
assets with form, fit, and function replacements for the current diminishing
product. Performed engineering analysis of alternative products as well as holding
severalpeer reviews prior to submitting to the engineering review board for
approval. Maintained cost and schedule in order to meet milestones.
ď‚· Provided circuit design and analysis, build support, and lab measurements for a
VHF Airborne Radar System. Responsible for part ordering and part kitting for a
Frequency Converter Module. Resolved system noise issue with Systems
engineering leading to a technical resolution that enabled on time delivery of the
first two units for Flight Test. Excellent Earned Value results (CPI and SPI of 1.0),
100% on time CDRLs,and a product that met all Technical Performance Measures.
ď‚· Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for the design of an L-band receiver front end
module for an IRAD program. Successfully designed, tested, and delivered a
significant quantity of CCA’s on time and with quality meeting cost and schedule.
Performed the design from requirements, through path analysis, component
selection, capture, and test to final delivery and integration. Worked with drafter
on schematic capture and layout. Provided leadership, design, and test guidance on
the power supply CCA to enable meeting schedule commitments. Conducted
environmental testing and debug for the Exciter/Receiver level in support of a
critical milestone event. Received Special Recognition Award for unwavering
technical support and dedication to ensuring success of the program milestone
event.
ď‚· Co-designed UHF-band clock generator and master reference oscillator modules
for a complex ground based radar program. Performed all the testing and design
changes, phase noise characterization, optimization, led debug and test activities
for DVT and Qualification providing leadership/guidance on test methodologies,
issue resolution, and data verification. Performed lab testing on PLL circuitry,
frequency dividers, amplifiers, couplers, isolators, LVDS buffers and mixers.
Captured and recorded multiple artifacts that were required from a system level
standpoint. Worked with drafter on schematic capture and layout. Responsible for
design material management of severalunits. Provided added program support as
technical issues arose by troubleshooting modules and developing a expeditious
solution enabling team to maintain schedule.
• Lead Electrical Engineer responsible for the re-design of a power panel assembly
for an S-band ground based radar. Generated schedule and resource loading.
Developed a Performance Monitoring and Fault Location (PMFL) circuitry.
Performed the concept design, test requirements, schematic capture and layout,
board fabrication follow, analysis, lab testing, and parts identification. Performed
High Power Amplifier module and power supply testing, data collection, and
analysis.
TEAM LEADER
United Radio Service;Syracuse NY 2002-2004
• Acquired new contracts from select manufactures. Obtained a one year pager
contract with a team of four technicians that held a 75-80% same day turnaround
while receiving an average of 30 units per day.
• Responsible for maintaining workload, turnaround time, parts inventory, training
new and current technicians and keeping a professional work environment.
• Developed work procedures for different processes while managing a group of ten
technicians that work on a variety of communication products. Evaluated and
tracked individual and team progress.
TECHNICIAN
United Radio Service;Syracuse NY 1998-2002
• Repaired consumer based products for Team Aiwa, maintained a high dollar per
hour turn around rate.
• Specialized in the repair of 2-way communication equipment for Motorola,
Kenwood and E.F. Johnson including various outside customers and local
government agencies.
