With a focus on the future of building my role at Heijmans focused
on the human – environment interaction and user experience.
Activities were diverse and included:
• Researching and advising in the European H2020 project
MeBeSafe (measures for behaving safely in traffic). This included
setting up user validations tests and writing a scientific paper.
• Advising in the development of innovations and validating
technology in the pilot phase. This included conducting surveys,
interviews, focus groups, video-observations and measurements.
• Advising developers, designers and planners on traffic safety,
mobility, social safety and liveability of the built environment.
• Supporting and organising the implementation of new (digital)
technology within the organisation. Including activities of
stakeholder management, communication and marketing.
