Cover letter
Dear Sir/ Madam
I am currently a Senior Analyst in the Assurance and Advisory Division within Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. I
completed a cadetship with the firm starting in 2009, which saw me obtain my Bachelor of Business at the
University of Technology, Sydney. I am currently completing the Chartered Accountants Program which I am
due to complete in December 2015.
In my 6 years working at Deloitte I have been exposed to numerous situations and circumstances that have
provided me with a variety of skills including people management, peer mentoring, effective communication
with senior staff members and external management and above all, effective time management and a strong
work ethic.
My key clients are large ASX listed organisations involving complex transactions that have a number of key
reporting deadlines and requirements. I was fortunate enough to be selected to manage and run one of these
key transactions which allowed me to further develop my interpersonal skills, through the management of a
broad spectrum of parties involved in the transaction. Furthermore, I was able to identify key risk areas and
reporting requirements that underpinned the engagement thus ensuring that the final deliverable was of high
quality and produced in an efficient manner. I thrive on being challenged, as it gives me the opportunity to
apply my knowledge, skills and creativity to providean array of solutions for all parties involved. I am a highly
self-motivated individual however I desire to be part of a company that will also support my self-development
and present me with opportunities to further enhance both my career and interpersonal skills.
I have benefited greatly from growing up as an expatriate’s daughter in both Europe and Asia, this, together
with my experience atDeloitte, has taught me how to adaptto any situation thatpresents itself. As an auditor,
I am exposed to a wide range of clients with a variety of management structures. This has enabled me to build
on my communication and people management skills. It has also taught me the importance of a workforce
with uniform goals that inspire and motivate employees.
Enclosed is my résumé for your review. I believe I have a valuable skill-set from which your firm can benefit
and thus hope to hear from you soon so we can discuss any available positions further.
Kind Regards,
Isabella Morehouse
