1. What is the larger purpose I will be working towards?
Our larger purpose is to make money for our clients through innovative methods and
reduced risk. We are simply passionate in adding value to our clients and employees lives.
The areas we want to focus on are Treasury and Wealth Management. We follow an
extremely professional approach where clients interest always comes first.
Our assets are our people, capital and reputation. During the process we want to enrich our
employees' lives and try to meet their personal and professional aspirations and maintain an
extremely cohesive and enriching work environment in the office. Making our team
successful is always in the back of our mind while taking every action or decision.
2. What is going to be my learning? Who am I going to report to? How does the day look
like in IFA?
Learning and growth is the prime focus at IFA. Our employees' creativity, learning, growth,
happiness and peace is utmost important to us. We have holistic learning (on the job) and
training in the areas of Treasury and Wealth Management. We take pride in our thought
leadership and it is one of the best in the industry.
You are going to report to an AVP to Founder Director depending on your Seniority but you
will closely be working with the Directors on and off.
We start the day at 8:45 to 5: 30 pm. Alternate Saturdays working mainly for training and
employee development activities.10-12 pm every day we have deep work (Cal Newport)
focused work at IFA. We follow a work life balance culture.
Treasury:
1. FX OTC and Currency Futures.
2. Forwards Futures Options and Swap including Pricing.
3. Fundamental and technical analysis.
4. Understanding Trade Finance and Corporate Finance products from a corporate
perspective.
5. Understanding Macro view (Domestic and International) and how to make your own view
fundamentally and technically.
6. Advanced Option, Delta hedge, RR, Seagulls, Knockins, TARFS and advanced derivatives.
7. Interest rate hedging products.
8. MIS on Software and Excel (Advanced)
9. Bank Dealing and Exchange Dealing.
10. Making Risk Management Policies, Treasury Diagnostics.

11. Experience of meeting with very large companies in India - attending meetings - giving
macro presentations etc.
12. Portfolio Management in FX, Commodities and Interest rates.
13. Running a trading desk.
14. Making Research Report and Case Studies, Advanced Excel etc.
15. Scenario Analysis and Back testing.
16. Hedge Accounting

Wealth Management :
1. Understand various investment products across asset classes like Mutual Funds, PMS m AIF,
Structures Debt products, Venture Debt etc.
2. Asset Allocation logic, Risk and Return.
3. Exposure on International Products.
4. Investments psychology and understanding our quant models.
3. What's the potential to make money? Am I part of the company’s revenue share?
We treat all employees as partners. That's our MINDSET. We encourage people to think like
entrepreneurs. Every pre-sales, Advisors or Directors have a share in client revenue. The
operations team KRA and incentives are well defined so they all are focused to get to our goals. The
variable component for most people can go to any extent since they have a share in revenue of the
company with no CAP.
Typically, an pre sales analyst starts his journey and move to a Director/Senior Director with
a package of a crore with profit sharing. The journey from an analyst to a Director will be 5-7
years depending on your initiative and progress.
4. What are the subjects I will be exposed to during my interaction with the team? What's my
learning say in the next 5-7 years?
You will get exposed to all the above subjects as mentioned in answer 2. Depending on how
you improve your learning curve you will be rotated across functions in front, middle and
back office roles (if you desire so) across all subjects in Treasury and Wealth Management.
You will have access to leadership coaches (HARVARD QUALIFIED) in the firm and
mentored through senior Directors and our Founder Mr. Abhishek Goenka. Depending upon
the role you will also get a chance to work with our Directors with a cumulative experience of
more than 100 years and also get a chance to interact with our clients at a promoter levels.

Mostly all clients of IFA are large companies and our relationships are at promoter levels.

7) Is my growth journey well defined? How will I grow?
The growth journey is well defined for everyone. Once you join your seniors, sit with you and define
your growth path from an analyst to a Senior Director. The growth is fast depending on your
performance and the learning is extremely steep. Ask more from the Human resources team.
8) What do my colleagues look like?
Most of the people start young at the age of 21 to 24 as fresh MBA or graduates at the firm after
careful screening. Employees join through various stages laterally from banks, corporates m broking
houses, BIG4 etc. depending on their roles etc. They are smart, intelligent and most importantly
nice, cheerful and positive - which is our culture at IFA.
Some of them will be CFA, FRM or CA’s too. Directors are very much involved hence you learn from
the Directors. You will have access to leadership coaches also.
