8. Brief on Jobs held:-
(a) Regional Director Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS),
Naval Base, Kochi:- Cash less health care of about 300000 Ex-servicemen and
dependants through a network of 04 Station HQs, 14 ECHS Polyclinics and 80
empanelled hospitals. Payments are processed on-line between empanelled hospitals,
Regional Centre and Bill Processing Agency and authorised by Regional Director. On
an average hospital bills worth Rs. 70 Cr are processed and paid in a year. This is an
Inter-Services organisation, with officers and men from the three Services.
(b) Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, Ernakulam:- Training of
about 20000 college and school students in basic Military Leadership including
Weapon training spread in about 150 Educational Institutions in the districts of
Alleppey, Ernakulam and Thrissur, through 08 NCC Battalions, comprising of 20
Service Officers 150 Associate NCC Officers and about 500 other service personnel.
NCC is also a Tri-Services organisation.
(c) Director/ Jt. Director/ Dy. Director Personnel Services, Naval
Headquarters, Delhi:- Discipline, Vigilance, Security, Provost, Inquiries, Honours &
Awards and Welfare issues of all Establishments, Ships and Personnel of the Indian
Navy.

the largest dockyard in Asia employing about 15000 workers and consisting of

Discipline, Investigations and Provost & Regulating functions.
(f) Senior Staff Officer, Commodore Bureau of Sailors, Mumbai:- Looking
after the grievances/ welfare of all Ex-sailors of the Navy dating back to WW II on their
entitlements, welfare, and legal matters.
(g) Officer Commanding 131 MC/MF Det Mumbai:- Movement Control of all
Military wares and personnel in liaison with the Railways during peace and operations.
(h) Regulating Officer, INS Venduruthy, Kochi:- Overall Security arrangements
of the Naval Base, Kochi, which has got a large number of vehicles and civilian
movements including various investigations and discipline of Naval personnel. Naval
Base, Kochi, houses various sensitive assets of the Southern Naval Command of the
Indian Navy. The task was executed through 05 Non Commissioned Officers and
about 200 other Service personnel.
